Looking for a budget recommendation

Hi everyone. I'm looking to build a new system. All I need is a CPU, motherboard, cooler and RAM. I don't want to spend too much, maybe $350 USD? I will be using an ATX case I already own, PSU I own, storage I have and a 4GB Radeon RX 570. If I can, I also have a 1GB Radeon HD 6870 that I'd like to use as well for more display outputs and VM experimentation. Thanks!

the 1600 has a cooler that it comes with. you can get something like the 212 evo for 20-30 bucks more if you wanted to. @Lenovo1984

That looks decent. I haven't paid much attention to Ryzen chips. How good is the included cooler?

a lot better than the one intel gives you for their chips. you can run with it at stock speeds with the ryzen cooler they give you and should be fine temp wise.

The Wraith Spire is amazing.

 

I've got one on my Ryzen 5 1600, keeps it nice and cool even when overclocked to 3.8Ghz.

That depends, are we talking gaming or multi-threaded workloads?

Just to clarify, I'm not really looking to game much. I don't own many games to begin with.

It hurts to say but with ryzen's prices and Intel not really leagues ahead anymore I think you should definitely go with the 1600, its alot more cores for the money and its a pretty good gaming chip, this comes from an Intel fanboy

Ryzen chips are pretty decent. But do you need 16 gigs of RAM? If you don't, you could get 12, or 8 even and spend the saved money on other things.
