Maybe i have a virus?

so I just got my new Samsung ssd and cloned my old ssd to it. google chrome is doing this even tho I just reinstalled it.

I don't even know where to start....

It looks very Google Chrome to me, how about take the opportunity to start using Firefox?

that's as soon as I open google chrome. I have 5 tabs open, not 30+

Each individual sub-process in Chrome's main process is not specifically an open tab.

ive had 1 tab open in chrome where it showed i had 12 processes going in Task manager...

Check if 'multiprocess' is turned on, don't know if it's the same but this also happens on firefox (If you have that enabled)

Scan your computer with free antivirus like Avira or bitdefender and malwarebytes. Scan results will tell you if the system is infected.

hmm, i think when i cloned my ssd all processes were opening instantly. I ran the Samsung Magician software and things seem to be a lot more snappy.
