Asus 1080ti Waterblock Install

SiCkHiTrEg

Does this look correct for thermal pad placement?  EK’s instructions appear very generic.  And after all of this the block does not seem to be fitting right lol.

It looks fine. As long as all the VRAM chips is covered you should be good :) If you're in doubt you can look at the air cooler and see how the placement is on that :)

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Never had an issue with their instructions. But for the few that had issues, they are normally addressed in videos some where. Normally where there is a pad, it’s gonna be the same with the block.

Ya but block would not sit correctly to screw down.  Unless im missing something.  They emailed me back stating it should be the correct block so I will have to mess with it when i get home from work again.  Also how does their thermal paste compare to like as5 or something?

I think there was revision on the strix blocks but I can’t remember if that was just the 1080s.

If the pads are down corrrectly, block should like up and seat just fine.

As far as past goes, It’s gonna be all the same. Wouldn’t bother thinking about it.
