GTX 1050 2GB On a 280 watt PSU

Hi Guys I was wondering whether I could use a GTX 1050 2GB On a 280 watt PSU following are my specifications:

CPU: i7 3770 3.4GHZ

RAM: 2x4GB DDR3

Desktop is a Lenovo M72e

PCIE Express 2.0 16x slot

It will be fine.

 

For reference, the GTX 1050 uses up to 75 watts from the 12v output of your power supply.

The i7 3770 is unlikely to consume more than 80-100 watts of power.

The motherboard with the RAM and everything else is unlikely to consume more than 20-30 watts of power.

 

I don't see how much power out of those 280w is on 12v, but I suspect more than 200 watts... it should say on the psu. So I'm around 95% sure the psu would be enough for your computer.

 

// found a picture of AcBel 280w psu, it says 12v @ 18A so that's 215w on 12v ... yeah, you should be fine.
