what should i upgrade next?

First post here and i dont know to much about pc`s, I am thinking about upgrading my pc, my budget is 300-400$.

This is my pc specs: 

Nvidia GeForce GTX 970  

MSI B85M-E45

Kingston A400 120GB 2.5" SSD, Western Digital 320GB HDD

i5 4430

12 Gb ram DDR3

550 W psu

1070 or 1070 ti

Desktop: 2014 Mac Mini 2.6ghz i5 upgraded to Samsung 850 Evo 1Tb Phone: iPhone 6+ 64gb RGB: Some random strip I got at walmart for 4 bucks :P

New motherboard, ram and processor.

 

Take a look at a setup like an R5 2600, B450 motherboard and 16GB of 3000mhz memory.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt since I am not familiar with older hardware, but you could get an i7-4790K if you have an unlocked motherboard. That is if you don't want new RAM, Motherboard and CPU.

It would really help if he had an unlocked motherboard so he can push it with an adequate cooler.

@thybarbam how about an i7 4770 off eBay and a GTX 1060 6GB? While you're at it, get a matching pair of DDR3, since it seems like you either have an 8GB and a 4GB dimm, or three 4GB dimms, so you are losing out on dual channel.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
