I was looking at Aurous Z390 Pro or Ultra at least 200 for mobo and memory 150-200 if those extra 100 dollars going to squeeze 5 extra FPS. I like Asus brand but I heard they went cheapo on there VRM on the Z390.

and ram won't get you another 5fps so any 16gb 3200+ will do

i actually would suggest in your case to go with a z390 gaming x+ddr3200 hynix ram and go with a 8700k if u can, save around 300bucks and put it toward a 2080 ti. Given the total cost of your build, saving on other parts and spending it toward an extra 20% on the 2080 ti would be quite efficient imho.

if you do decide to stick with b-die then

It seems that way, one of my favorites is the Z390 Extreme 4, pretty well priced for sure. But if you have 200$ to spend on motherboard the Taichi is a excellent overclocker.

I've heard the vrm on the z390 extreme4 is worse than the z370 version for some reason. ASRock hopefully didn't do what asus did with the maxiumus hero 11.

You're gonna be good with a z390 gigabyte aorus board. The elite is actually supposed to be a solid board but if you have the money get the higher aorus models of z390.

Yeah I already have 9700K and RTX 2080

just trying to get a well balanced board for the future. I’m staying there if I get the 2080 Ti might as well dump money on a 9900K.
