Phanteks DRGB Starter Kit LED Strip Help!

_Hustler_One_

Hi everyone..

I bought the Phanteks Digital RGB Starter Kit LED Strip because I cant make the generic RGB strip mod and because I'm very bad in soldering. Also I choose this RGB kit is because its hub and controller are small and magnetic so I can put them anywhere and can be synced to MSI Mystic Light by connecting it to motherboard.

The problem is it has 3pin connector, and the connector from the hub to the motherboard is like this,

[ ▪▪ - ▪ ] the empty 3rd is flat solid without hole, like this

while the motherboard RGB pins are   [▪▪▪▪]   on JRGB,

and   [▪▪▪]   for JCorsair RGB pin.

This is my motherboard RGB pin layout,

How can I connect this Phanteks DRGB LED kit to these connector on the motherboard?

Should I get an extension cable with   [▪▪▪▪]   pin on one end and   [▪▪ - ▪]   pin on the other end? If so, where can I get one of this type of extension?

Please help..

Good thing is the kit has separate remote controller to control it by myself without connect to motherboard. But I want to use the Mystic Sync instead of manually controlled by hand..

Your motherboard does not have the correct (addressable) rgb header to work with that kit. You need an addressable (digital) rgb header called JRAINBOW-3pin because you're using digital strips. The JRGB header only works with regular 5050 12v rgb strips, not the digital 5v strips you have. You do have the corsair header which is addressable but that's a proprietary connector so I don't think you're going to find any adapters for that, I'm not even sure it would work if you had one.

The phanteks manual also shows it's compatible with msi mystic rainbow, not just the regular mystic sync.
