Any opinions on this build?

Tyler94

What do you plan to use it for, are you going to overclock etc. Can't give an opinion on the build without knowing what its for :)

Yes i plan on doing some overclocking, as well as mostly gaming and maybe a little bit of streaming.

Ok fair enough, If you want to cut the cost a bit I would consider a Ryzen 5 2600 I think that will do you just fine, I've managed to stream BFV on max settings with one and its cheaper than the Intel alternative as well.

For the price of the GTX 1080ti it looks like you can get an RTX 2080 so look at comparisons between the two to see which is better.

How well would an 8700k handle streaming?

It should be fine, I mean, my 9700k didn’t have a problem with the one day I decided to try twitch. Haven’t tried it since tho. Didn’t go over well... OBS didn’t work for me.

8700k is fine for streaming but a ryzen 7 would do better since it has the 2 extra cores

if you want raw gaming performance than you should go intel since it has higher clock speeds

I just threw the 1080 ti in there because i was hoping by the time i put the funds together for his build the price would drop, but if not i will look into the 2080

I didnt include the 2700x because you are gonna be overclocking so you dont need a 2700x

i also upgraded the parts in your system because skimping out and buying the cheapest psu and storage is generally not a good idea
