Can I put ram sticks in when mobo is in case already?

So my parts arrive tomorrow expect ram.So can I build the pc without ram and put them in the mobo thats in the case? I was just thinking that could the motherboard or ram broke if i put them in if the mobo is in case already

It shouldn’t matter if the Mobo is in the case already, however it’s just easier putting them together outside the case.

There will be no problem if you put the RAM in later. Just make sure to open the RAM retention clips at the top and bottom, press the RAM in until you hear the click (depends on mobo, sometimes you wont hear a click just see the retention clips revert to their old position).

Yes you can, nothing will get hurt at all.  Been doing it that way for decades now, I never do the motherboard on box thing they do.

I would say this depends on your case choice. it might be a giant pain in the ass if it's a micro-build with a crap-ton of cool shit inside.
