Go to solution Solved by H4X3R,

I would personally choose a TN panel over an IPS. Also note that with 1440p you wont get 165 fps in the more recent games, even with 2080tis.

So my suggestion would be a TN 1440p 144hz panel with G-Sync (if you have a gtx 1080ti or better) like these ones:

24 inch: https://geizhals.at/acer-xb1-xb241yubmiprz-um-qx1ee-001-a1574853.html?hloc=at

27 inch: https://geizhals.at/acer-xb1-xb271huabmiprz-um-hx1ee-a01-a1439522.html?hloc=at

With proper calibration these TN screens can look quite good.

If you have multiple people playing games / watching movies on that display fairly regularly and you don't play comp fps games (just casual) then this VA panel would be a better choice.

31,5 inch https://geizhals.at/acer-predator-z1-z321qubmiphzx-um-jz1ee-005-a1682785.html?hloc=at

or if thats too big then:

IPS 27 inch (slightly higher response time)

Currently I mainly play FPS games, but also singleplayer games with great stories, graphics, characters etc. The budget does not matter.

Would you rather buy a 1080p with 240hz or a 1440p with 165hz refresh rate. Or would you just not buy a TN panel and go for IPS 1440p with 4ms response time instead. Is there a huge diffrence between 1ms and 4ms response time?
