1000 W PSU??

I have never understood the "that will do" attitude to PSUs.

 

It's the one component you can carry forward through 3 or 4 system rebuilds

It's the one component that attaches to all the others.

It's the one component that can fry all the others.

 

Get the absolute best one you can afford.

Get significantly more watts that you "need" 

Run it at 40% of it's maximum output and never hear the fan come on.

Admire it for 10 years in your next 4 rigs.

Got my 1k for my Titan and 3770k. Years later it’s running 4 1080’s. Waste money once. 

 

Psu’s won’t maintain efficiency forever. 

 

Not gonna get some lower wattage component just for it to be replaced when ever I want something else. Not everyone likes to just get by or leave little to no head room. 

 

But you can get some Walmart outsourced psu as that’s “enough” as well.

ok so  G3 super nova?? lol 850  watts its nice but the watts are too low for idel

can it hurt compinets long tearm at low wattage too low??

If you have more wattage than what’s required it isn’t too low. 

 

If you don’t have enough, if the system does boot it will crash under load. Which still won’t hurt anything. Shitty quality is what hurts stuff aside from dirty power.

No - not even a little. In fact it will last a lot longer that way.

 

The G3 Supernova is a great PSU.
