What should i do people?

i just bought a new  rtx 2070 strix but the cpu bottlenecks it because its to old my cpu is an i5-4440k. So i am just wondering what your opinions are. Shall i buy an new cpu or return my rtx 2070 and buy a new  gpu. Hope you guys can help me <3<3

Look on Ebay for a used i7 4770K or 4790K.

if you can't upgrade the cpu OC the hell out of it until you have a reason to upgrade ^^

4440 never came with a K, only S or nothing.

 

Apart from unlocked i7s, locked i7s and Xeon E3 v3 are also good choices, especially when you look to spend less.

wait its a k processor? overclock it then. find a nice cooler and get some extra speed out of it.

i mean i have an i7-4770 in a tower i gave to my sis. she finds nothing wrong with it. i paired it with a gtx 1050ti EVGA SSC, she can play whatever she wants on her 1600 by 900 monitor

thats correct. you should be fine. however i'd just go for the non k... its cheaper under most circumstances. and if you don't have an SSD, you could snag a small SSD for your OS to make a more enjoyable pc all around. 

 

however a bios update might be needed for the other chip

Okay, since it's a B85 you could save some money by looking at the 4770 or 4790 (would require a BIOS update to support Devils Canyon).

Well nVidia has completely ended support for Analog video therefore NO cards since Pascal has VGA ports.

 

However if the partner like zotac, evga, msi etc... wants to put DVI-D on the card they still can (specifically -D as in digital only since nVidia also killed DVI-I in the killing Analog video process).

 

In Fact Zotac RTX 2070 Mini has DVI-D, it's all a matter of finding the right card.

That is a lot of buying, I'd settle for the 1070 Ti personally since you'd have less trouble upgrading every thing else.
