There was a water main break nearby this morning.

It explains the helicopters - as I'm walking to my bus stop I see this chopper come screaming down the street towards the stop, it turns right, then continues on.

I've been looking at this for a while and just now understood what you meant.

    That helicopter was thirsty.

I just realized that you could figure out the city I live in with this information.

Oh well - it's not like there's only 3000 people in it.

Plus you've said in multiple posts and it's on your profile...

No, the real city I live in. I don't live in Chicago, and Not Chicago doesn't exist (yet).

Technically isn't every other city not Chicago?

It is unfortunately not a real address.

Plus the capitalized Not makes it different, apparently.

Side note, my SSD and PCIe riser may come tomorrow.

Well also a bit off topic, I've decided on a 580!

    (A GTX 580...)

Still better than my laptop's RX560 896sp. AKA a RX 460, literally a RX 460, that they called a 560 in the marketing material.

Using it for everything for the next 6 months (at least). Hoping to get a 6700xt or 3070 or so when the next gen of GPUs releases and those are lower priced.

One of the games I play, Crossout, looks OK with everything set to max except for AA, which is what I'll probably have to do with that 1536 MB of VRAM. However my friend and I want to start a Minecraft/a few other games youtube channel and it'll work fine for that.

I would keep the 4870 as my main card, only problem is it doesn't support DX11, 12, or Windows 10. So basically all it can do is what it is doing right now, running my monitor at 1366x768 at 720p, lagging along with no drivers.
