centurion_08 got a reaction from tkurgpold in Can somebody "in the know" tell me, when this cryptocurrency crap will die a horrible, painfull death?
    Hi.

I never read much about this subject. Only thing i know is, it's the 3rd or 4th crypto crap boom and up until know it was affecting a fair share of gpu's.
Now it seems everything is gone from the shelfs. Talking about higher tier gpu's, cpu's, heck even memory is higher than usual. I can't even buy a ps5 anymore because the fucking thing is gone.
A console, a toy is gone. I remember standing in (not so long) lines for ps2, ps3, ps4 and there was plenty of them. I know it's a supply and demand thing but can somebody write a diagram with straws or crayons and tell me when it will go back to normal. Scalping, farming motherfucking assholes.

Yes, of course, i should've specifie i meant BOTH. PC parts, and consoles. I know plenty of people that can't affort/build a good "next gen" PC so they wanna buy console.
I don't want to build a half baked, half assed PC so i thought i'll get a ps5. Well, jokes on me cause the thing is mia.

EDIT: As far as farming goes, i mean, it's not bad in it self, but leave some of the tech for us, gamers damn it.

This topic is somewhat a guilty pleasure of mine. For the longest time i thought budget builds are the way to go, cuz every pc is a good pc, amirite?
Well now, when i'm older i think you should go BIG or at all, steping into pc teritory. Those budget builds, are really for broke, not demanding or e-sports people.
Of course it comes with backwards compatibility and even semi-exclusives genres of games, but theres a catch thou. I'm guessing you building it to play new ambitious titles, and 500 dollazzz, won't give you the full experience. Why would you play the game on low-medium settings with variable fps if you could drop 500d console and skip all the fucking hasle and just enjoy the game. If you can't dish out more money then xbox SX is the way to. Don't forget to slap ultimate game pass on that motherfucker.

Well, on the specs from the title i can safely say it runs and looks like fucking dog shit. Lowest settings 1080p get between 15 to 25 with few moments hitting 30. To every potato user, don't even think about buying this game.
If you have a ps4 laying around. Buy a used copy and hope that updates will do wonders.

When you really think about Playstation brand occupies hundreds of good exclusive games besides multiplatform titles. Great console, and yes, eventually/maybe all games will end up on pc platform. You my friend, don't waste time WAITING to play those games. Just buy the console, worth every penny.

Get it on whatever platform you think you will enjoy it the most. Don't listen to insecure wankers that force this "hurr durr pc best expierience" agenda down your throat. At the end of the day you playing the god damn game and that's what matter most. Also, if you get it on the console you'll get the nice disc, so there's that.

Doesn't matter how you slice it. Gaming-wise, this much heat, packed in for 499? That's a really good option. Huge amount of people don't want to fuck with pc parts etc etc. Having to play the newest, the hottest games on a cheap hardware that will last for 5-6 years+? Let's be honest, the console with gamepass is a huge hitter. Your move Sony.

I caught myself on experiencing unsual pleasure from playing video games off disc's rather than pc "launchers"
I'm 33, a husband, a father of 2 boys and for the past couple of months i don't have that much time to play games. 2 or 3 hours tops a day, and that's if i sacrifice my sleep.
Recently i went back to pc to play some games and it didn't feel right. Something about just launching a game (an icon) off desktop made me switch it off in minutes.
I was bored and not excited. Being distracted by all the things i can do, i coudn't focus on a goal. So i wen't back to my ps4 i popped a Resident Evil 3 disc and immediately had an urge to play the hell out of it.
Something about the box and puting a disc in the console. It felt like a celebration, me, disc and the game. I was appreciating the moment i had.
This post is a total mess and it seems like a retarded gibberish. I don't think i can properly convey what i mean by this.
Anyway, had to throw it out there.
