Often it is just a lose cable/connector.
btw. if you want to test the motor part don't forget to heat up the hotend (somewhere around 180 °C or higher, ideally just print temperature) to prevent cold extrusion prevention to kick in.

well yeah if you want to upgrade then you need a new mobo and ram depending on what youre upgrading to

if youre just adding a gpu you dont have to but if you notice that your cpu is at 100% while gaming and your gpu is chilling at 30% or whatever then maybe you should get a better cpu.

cluelessgenius got a reaction from Ben17 in Is C# a good programming language to learn?
if you think you can get a job in software development and only focus on one language you gonna have a rude awakening sorry to say.

i started with c# but in the field youll notice you need to know a bit of everything sometimes and at one point the actual language is secondary.

its like writing a book. you need to be a great writer no matter if you use pen and paper or punsh your words into stone with a hammer, or use a typewriter or draw words into sand with your finger. you get my point the actual language and syntax is good to know. certain limitations and when to use which language is all fine and good but in the end its about your skills in programming not what languages you know.

only thing maybe is that i would like them to be louder and/or have more bass but for what they are i cant really compare them to having my usual earbuds hooked up to a headphone amp obviously.

also i have had people tell me that the background noise was quite loud when calling. so they seem to not filter that out very well and i cant find any settings for that so idk. but for me as a user i like them alot.

I'm running a delidded 8600K with a 4.9GHz OC plus an EVGA 980ti FTW with a mild OC and it ain't nothing to sneeze at. A lot less that the people with newer hardware but it still helps.

I've also been weary of donating money to causes because so many times it's been sketchy where the money goes. If I can help out in person in any way I will, that way i know where my labor and efforts are going.

We're all in this together no matter what type of rig you have. GO TEAM!!!

On it and will ad to the FAQ

So you have to: Advanced client -> configure -> slots -> CPU -> enter how many threads you want to fold one. Max should always be yourNumerOfThreadsThatYOurCPUhas - 1core for the GPU -1core for Windows

Yes, just reduce the number of thread in the advanced client.

I'm really bad at giving instructions so I'm hoping someone else can come in and give you decent instructions!

alright....havent heard that one yet. now only to find out which pin is the parking break i guess but i was under the impresion the radio is hooked up via can bus protocol sooo...yeah

well i mean i posted the pdf. so ill probably go by that.

how did you come to that concluion. you got some wiring diagram that might help me? also yeah i know about the adapters but those are expensive and they mes with the onboard computer calculating milage and stuff soo im trying to avoid those. again i realize getting an aftermarket radio is way easier but having the front display in the car be black all the time would really mess with me so ill try whatever

cluelessgenius reacted to Franck in [C#] Fastet / Ressource Friendliest Motion Detection
Motion detection is the easiest at least. I don't have a link at hand but the workflow is pretty simple.
    1 - Get reference frame
2 - Pull frame from the camera each X milliseconds/seconds.
    3 - compare for movement

I have in the past use ImageMagik for image manipulation and used a contrast enhancer and other method in order to get a contour image version of each frame. This remove all colors and nearly all artifact cause by lighting, pixelation. Then i compared the image for similarity (this algorithm exist on the web) with a percentage value you have to be closed by to the reference frame in order to consider movement occured.

    ok very stupid quetion here.

so the app on android can be synchronized with multiple calendars. but the web view of google calendar only show the direct calendar of that account.

is there a obvious sync setting im missing somewhere or is there maybe a way to automatically copy all appointments from synced account over to the main one so i can the them all in the web view?

so i did a bit more research and apparently getting one with m-sport seats means getting an 18i. i have no clue why so many people configured their low end engine with m-seats and the higher end engines were all paired with full leather seats but anyway so i looked it up and my local tuner told me that not only are the blocks the same amongst the 4 cylinder variants but apparently the entire engine incl. turbos and everything. and the power difference is simply a software limitation so it turns out if you go to your local tuner and do stage1 software you get around 250hp and around 400Nm no mattter if you got a 18i, 20i or 28i. sooo since i like the m-sport package and the 18i is amongst the cheaper turbo variants, that just tipped the choice in its favor for me.

    Me again.
hypothetical question here to all you car guys.
looking at the bmw z4 e89 specifically 2013 and newer
what engine would you go for / recommend also in terms of reliability and general maintainance cost?

    18i - 156HP 2.0l Turbo - imo a bit weak
    20i - 184HP 2.0l Turbo - ?
23i - 204HP 2.5l Non-Turbo - also maybe a bit weak because no turbo and worse in fuel economy but maybe more reliable ?
    28i - 245HP 2.0l Turbo - ?
    30i - 258HP 3,0l Non-Turbo - again no turbo so i suspect the fuel effiency / fun ratio is a bit off
    35i - 306HP 3.0l Twin-Turbo - too expensive
    35is - 340HP 3.0l Twin-Turbo - too expensive

so between the 20i, the 23i and the 28i im kinda stuck and looking for known problems and experiences/opinions

also can we get crazy ass watercooling projects back? im not talking about one video about how you your own lump of a cpu block but i mean crazy levels from the good old days. i miss whole room watercooling project and the mineral oil series you know the visually and otherwise really freaky stuff no one else does or needs.
how about resurrecting hardware from the oldern days or something.

ohh and obviously the obligatory cry for another god damn scrapyard wars. with fire.....and hookers....ok scratch that but how about real scrapyard rules. no money involved. just scrap people give/ throw away. i would love to see linus try to get like 30-something more Mhz out of some ancient cpu all desperate like just to beat luke who managed to somehow score a broken AIO and mend it or something. their dynamic is just the best for that format. also no guests. austin was really tough to watch.

does it have to be brand new?

right now id go for a pair of logitech z906, yes they are 5.1 not 2.1 but you cant beat them imo. they go for like 100 bucks used here and with 500w and a 165w sub plus they are actually thx certified for the money i cant figure a better setup. brand nnew they are like 230 around here

for 2.1 id take the either the z623 or z625 depending on if you want optical audio in or which ever is cheaper to come by

if it has to be the absolute budget. id go fo a pair of logitech z4 still, i know they dont make them anymore and the numbers arent that impressive but you can pick up a used but good condition pair for like 40 bucks or less here and mine have always served me very well. still love them but obviously they couldnt keep up once i upgraded to teufel consono.
