  1. I heard you were the man to ask ( Through the forum of course) I bought my son a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop w/ Ryzen 5 3500/ GTX 1650/ Bought g.skill Ripjaws 5 ddr4 16cl,18,18, 18, 38 3200 and it has an Erica 8643 motherboard. I'm trying to figure out the max ram speed. After I got the new kit I set it to 3200 cl18,18,18,38, 56 and it ran great but I heard if the Mobo doesn't support it it could mess it up.Any advice would be helpful. I'm a newbie

The board supports up to 3200mt/s. Should be fine, it won't ruin the board or anything.

Where did you hear that claim? I'm curious!!

The support I formation for your board here...

I was just on the forum and someone else had your info in his comment. He said that you helped him out with basically the same thing. I really appreciate it. Yeah it was running great at 3200 I just got a little sketched out from not being sure. Thanks again!

      Any time. 🙂

  2. Oh ok I understand now. I actually got my son this computer for Christmas. I don't think it's a bad computer for his 1st one. It has a Ryzen 5 3500, GTX 1650, I got him that g.skill Ripjaws 5 kit so it's in dual channel. Overall he's happy and he will never go back to consoles. Appreciate your input.
  3. I appreciate it. Yeah it's a mini ATX. So I'm a newbie, what do you mean CPU support? I can't find the max speed anywhere but thinking it's 2666 because that's what it came running. It originally only had 1 stick so I bought a matching stick. I just recently bought a new kit of g.skill Ripjaws 5 16gb (8×2) 3200 ddr4 cl 16,18,18, 38. The best I got them running was 3200 cl 18,18,18, 38,56 bit that's when I got the message from stability tests on Aida64 hardware failure. So yesterday I set them at 2666.
  4. Yeah the ram that came with it ran at 2666. So I'm sure it's the motherboard and I can't find the frequency the motherboard supports. God-damned Hp
  5. I have had it on 2133 as soon as I put it in and it ran great and it still runs great but I'm pretty sure it's the frequency. That motherboard is a piece of shit. In Ryzen master when I go to set the speed to 1600 on that line a notice pops up that the max is 3000. Do you know if that's through the processor or motherboard. I checked on the 3500 and it says it supports 3200 but I don't know about the motherboard and can't find it anywhere.
  6. I'm trying to find the specs on my motherboard. It's an Hp Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-0018, ERICA 2 MOTHERBOARD. The reason I am trying to find out is because I bought a new kit of ram G.Skill Ripjaws 5 16 gb ddr4 3200 8×2 and I went into Ryzen Master and set the speed and fabric clock to 1600 Coupled mode of course and I ran a stability tests on Aida64 last night on memory and 10 minutes in it said hardware failure. I think it's because my ram settings on this motherboard. It's 3200 18cl,18,18, 38. When I'm in Ryzen master it says 3000 max. Is that the mother board settings or my Ryzen 5 35
  7. I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to all this but I'm learning as much as I can. I wanted to ask you what do you mean by it's all theoritical?
  8. Cool I'll give it a try. Thanks
  9. I'm not sure ,do you think it's worth giving it a try? Also do you think I should mess with all the other timing settings or do they not make that much of a difference? I appreciate all your input.
  10. So I know it's been awhile since this post but I got the timings down to cl18-18-18-38-54. I tried doing cl16 but it crashed so I stopped there. Those are the only timings I messed with do you think it would be worth messing with all the other timings.
  11. I actually overclocked it using MSI afterburner but I forgot to turn on MSI before I did it. Also I want to do it since put the memory to 3200mhz. Do you think it will make a difference overclocking the GTX 1650 with the speed change.
  12. So I got my best user benchmark score so far yesterday after setting my ram to 3200 and turning on Coupled mode. What do you guys think and what could I do to make it better.
  13. Yeah I saw that but at the time I got it people kept saying that B550 weren't even out yet and in the specs it says a promontory "B550a". I saw people saying that it was a repurposed B450 so that's why I'm trying to find out so I can install the correct chipset drivers or anything else I can do with that information. Thank you for your help.
  14. Hp Pavilion TG01-0018. It's an Hp motherboard: Erica 8643 and it says B550a in specs but on CPU-Z and HWIN it says X570( Bixby) I read that it could be a b450 or an X570. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Yeah I'm sorry I have seen that tab and the settings for 3200 and tried them and that's when it crashed. For some reason I thought you said on Ryzen master. Thank you
