Does this mean it's hardware based or just the drivers?

Warning: total PC noob here Everytime I start a stream on discord my mouse and keyboard disconnect for a short time but then reconnect again like nothing happened. Yesterday I started playing Titanfall 2 and now my mouse and keyboard keep disconnecting ingame. So far it has only happened in Titanfall. I tested the ports with a usb stick that starts glowing and as far as I could tell the entire top row of ports shuts off. I already turned off the energy saving option in the device manager. I build this PC in december so I really hope it`s just some drivers and not my mainboard.
