  1. I can tell you it is not display drivers, software is not the issue it is bios and I don't know what to do about it I can get in bios but leaving it it freezes up I cant boot to anything at all, cant even safemode
  2. not looping, no mouse, just freezes on a frame (when booting its windows partially through loading, when installing its the purple backdrop, and with bios its a line like a terminal would have but not flashing)
  3. My specs: MSI Z390A-pro I5-9600k 16gb DDR4 2133mhz RTX 3060ti Yesterday I went to put my PC into sleep mode and I noticed the screen went black and unresponsive (like in sleep mode) but the PC was still on (fans and lighting going). only was to turn it back on is to force it off and turn it back on and it boots back up just fine. I assumed this was just a normal windows being dumb so I backed up my data and started a reinstall today. the install went smoothly until when it had to restart to continue and didn't turn off and locked up. even in the bios it locks up when restart
  4. turning hardware acceleration seems to have fixed it, thanks!
  5. I closed firefox and it dropped so I guess for some reason that's doing it???? it went up to 986 when I reopened to post and is slowly climbing up past 1gb performance is better but not as good as I had it before
  6. did it and the vram usage is climbing up like before but is lower, about 0.7gb
  7. the 1060 3gb does it well but for the games I play minimum says 960 which the 670 is close to but thats not really what im concerned about, I wanna atleast play non VR which I cant with vram being dumb
  8. my GTX 1060 3gb and GTX 670 both run at 1.5gb vram usage with no game or any other graphically intensive apps running. I don't use the 1060 and the 670 at the same time, just one or the other. im getting horrible FPS in games I should be able to run on both cards. I wanna play VR (and test it on the 670) but I don't have enough vram. the 670 is a decent card that should be able to still run many games but with 3/4 of its vram (2gb) used it cant run crap. it was fine day before yesterday. im running latest windows 10 that was reinstalled not long ago and latest drivers other specs:
  9. A bios update did it! I am now in windows and the card is running! Thanks for your help
  10. I would but I don't think my PSU has enough pcie but I do have a molex to 6 pin adapter I can use. I just updated bios so ima try that first, I will let you know how it goes
  11. It shouldn't matter because the card can't even get into bios. It's gpt though
