But when i run CS:GO at a very low res the monitor runs at 120hz trough HDMI, but at higher resolutions it doesn't. If the monitor had a Displayport it was very easy, because I have firends with the same laptop who have 144hz monitors and they are connected via a Mini Dp to Dp and it runs 144hz@1920x1080 smoothly. So I don't think this has to do with the laptop.

Hello! I have a Lenovo Y7000 with a GeForce GTX 1650 with a Mini Displayport and HDMI ports. I also own an Benq XL2411 and with this monitor the HDMI cable is limited to 60hz although it has HDMI 2.0 so I can only get 144hz from the DVI connection, because the monitor is missing the Displayport connection. So my question is. How can I get 144hz, i tought about two options. I can either use a HDMI to DVI cable or a Mini Displayport to DVI, have you ever used any of those? Can I get some feedback before buying any cable? Thanks in advance!
