Thanks for the explanation, i am new to the PC building scene and more at home messing about in the automotive world. I would rather ask for advice before I revert to a big hammer and screwdriver I will reseat the Riser and check again. If this persists I will just go back to conventional mounting

Hi all, I am hoping that the knowledge in this forum will be able to help.# I have just fitted a Corsair Premium PCIe 3.0 x 16 Riser to my rig and I have a small issue since installation. Riser fitted and on the desktop no issues and everything boots up fine, then when I open War Thunder and i move the mouse pointer around in the hanger the screen starts to dim and brighten, this is lick a flickering effect and it only happens when I move the mouse pointer around. This never happened prior to fitting the riser! My question is does the Riser need to be earthed to the case

Hey guys and gals, I am a noob at PC building and all that voodoo magic stuff. Is it worth upgrading my motherboard, an MSI X370 Gaming Pro? I have Ryzen 1700x, couple with an RTX 2060 and I am really unsure if a motherboard upgrade would bring me any benefit. I am a casual gamer and surf the web, thats about it. Any help or guidance would be grand

Thanks. I actually own the full size version of the Camaro also

Many thanks for the praise. When I was selecting a GPU I had to take into account that I am a casual gamer and one of my main games is War Thunder. I must admit though since completing this rig I have started to look at more graphics intensive games, so upgrade of the GPU in the future could be a possible factor My issue with GPU's is the price, it is hard to justify the spend to what I am physically doing with the rig!

Sorry about the dusty Camaro, I was rushing to get the photos taken . I will have it dusted forthwith!
