  1. Still waiting on the 8370, it’ll arrive tomorrow so ill post pics as soon as it’s built
  2. It’s LGA. Also that ram is seriously retro.
  3. I’ve got a stick of 512 MB DDR laptop RAM lying around somewhere, and I have an original set of test and install disks for the first version of Ubuntu. I’ve also got a Pentium 4 lying around in a box but IDK if that’s retro enough.
  4. Thank you for the advice. I’m nearly new to this whole PC gaming world so advice like this is very helpful.
  5. Good to hear. I’ll be building a new PC once this one stops being useful for me.
  6. Yeah I’ve heard that a lot at this point. The main reason I went with it was because I got a really good price on a 6300 and ordered all the parts for an AM3+ PC, then the guy couldn’t ship it and I kinda was stuck at this point so I got a 8370. Beginner mistake I guess. And yes it is an overclocked 8GB 580.
  7. Pretty straight forward question, will my GPU be bottlenecked in a significant manner by my CPU? I’m going to be running a GTX 1060 6GB SC as my GPU, and a FX-8370 @4GHz as my CPU. If it’s important I’ll also be running 20 GB of 1600MHz DDR3. Thanks guys
  8. Yep. I already bought all the components. My friend built a system with a 10100, 16gb DDR4 and RX580 so it’ll be interesting to see how the two stack up.
  9. Keyword, Once I have the money. Also the AIO I’m looking at is less than $50. I can send you a link to it if you want.
  10. I know the FX Series is bad and all, but this is my first real PC and I just needed something that I can use for most games at medium settings and some workstation tasks.
