  1. Thanks for moving it to the right spot
  2. Hi guys and girls! i finally got all the prts and can now present my first ever own build. Thanks especially to: @Naijin @martward @Bobbycat2414 @minibois for the help in finding the right information for parts. I still need to buy something to get all fans together, so i can control them all at once, but otherwise extremely happy!
  3. Ok... I think I'm getting there... but just to be sure: i have: 1x 970 Evo Plus Nvme M.2 500GB 1x Sandisk SSD Plus 1 TB 3x random SSD and Harddrives from old computers Am I correct to put the NVMe in the top slot? And the othet SATA slots would just slow down another M.2 if i would install it then (maybe one day)? fyi: it'll be a ryzen 5600x thanks for your help
  4. Hi people It's me again with the silly questions... So I bought all PC components and now I'm waiting on the last part (my Ryzen CPU). In the meantime I wanted to set up my Motherboard. As I wanted to use old SSDs I already own in addition to the NVMe drive I plan to use for the OS, I was curious as to how many Drives I can actually install. Link for reference: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-ELITE-AX-V2-rev-10#kf I'm a complete newbie in PC building. The board itself has two M.2 slots (one for an NVMe, I believe) and four SATA 3 po
  5. Hey people The community helped me with the build of my PC. Now... whilst installing the NVMe in the top slot of my Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, i screwed off the fixing down screw. This is the first time I've ever done this. So when the screw came loose and i opened the colling plate, I didn't realize that the attachment part between the screw and the mobo shouldn't come with the screw. So after installing the NVMe i noticed that the screw wouldn't go all the way back in... Now: I tried just attaching it like that (the heatpad is very adhesive, so it does stick down
  6. Now that was sadly just a bit too late but i have a fee old SSDs. I'll have to check if they'd work for my system. Otherwise I'll upgrade once I know that it's needed. Thanks for thr advice though
  7. I ended up ordering a 1660 super for 40$ more, because it was the only one actually available... will probably wait to buy a new GPU for a while now anyway because availability and prices are so insane right now Waiting on the parts now. Latest will be 3 weeks, they said to arrive. Let's hope that holds up. Thanks for your help again
  8. I'll probably go for availability in the end... seems my country has run out of many graphics cards
  9. Thank you so much for your help! Let's see where I go from here I'll post an update once I get there
  10. Thanks for the reaearch! So basically, a 1650 super is better short term, right? I'm just wondering how long it'll take for me to get my hands on a 3070. But I guess it really doesn't matter if i keep the 1650 for a year or the rx 580, right? Except a couple frames more. I guess then I could just whatever's cheapest and then sell it once I'm done with it. does that make sense?
  11. I've quickly looked it up. If I get an RX 580 with 8gb is that better than a 1650 with 4gb? Sorry if I'm bugging you. I have simply no clue about all these numbers...
  12. What GPU would you suggest? Streaming will probably not be right away, but I'm sure greatful for the info. So the rx580 wouldnt help with that?
  13. Hey there Thanks for the help! I was actually thing of a 3070. Prices are sky-high right now and I don't know what to look out for with used parts, so i just picked out everything I could out of a local retailerms list...
  14. Budget (including currency): 1000$ Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: LoL; high end single player games (later) and a few fps games; photoshop and some light video editing; maybe streaming again soon Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): upgrading from a business laptop; already have a decent mouse and keyboard, will upgrade screen soon. Hi guys and girls! I've watched a
