    Adrian12 got a reaction from Bartus in RTX 2060 - 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 144Hz
when i had the same debate, i went with the 1440p even though i had a 1060 6gb, and tbh it worked well with games like minecraft, csgo, rainbow six etc but heavier games i was getting about 80 fps aswell. I would definitely go 1440p unless you really need 144hz in triple a but imo 1440p is better

All in all it's a pretty solid build. If I were doing it, I might have swapped out the case for a P400A, just because it's half the cost and still a pretty solid case, but the Define R6 is a pretty good case, and if he's a first time builder, the added creature comforts of the define R6 will be greatly enjoyed.

no, 3600 will work fine with it. the cooler i agree is overkill, but if you want to go with the h100i, it can be purchased for a lot cheaper than 169.99.

I would highly recommend the Logitech G502, as it is a great mouse, get whichever one suits your price range, and i have a corsair k70 lux cherry mx red and it is also incredible. Great combo, will search for some links quickly.

Powerline stuff can be a solution depending on the electrical setup in the house, but not as good as ethernet.

10700k is a cheaper, newer, and basically almost the exact same cpu, with more upgrade options for the motherboard, and cheaper. Get that.

    But to be honest, I would get a 5900x and maybe even a 5950x before a 3090.

Budget (including currency): £200 for monitor £400 for PC
    Country: UK
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hi there, i have a decent pc, capable of running cs:go, R6 and minecraft at 144fps, and other more demanding games at 60fps so im considering upgrading to a 1440p 144hz monitor. I will pay in the region of £200 after i scour the internet for good deals. However, i also want to upgrade my PC to a ryzen 3700x, and with a motherboard and 16gb 3600mhz i plan to pay no more than £400. Which do you think i should do first?

I think I might go for monitor as I was thinking exactly the same. I can get a Samsung G5 odyssey for 200 now so might do that

no its not, i will probably put it down to 1080p or something like that. I just want to be able to play cs:go and minecraft and r6 better. I think im going to get the samsung g5 odyssey. What do you think about it? Im goin from a 1200p 60hz monitor with a tft panel so i think its a big jump.

Hi guys, so my pc won't boot unless I use onboard graphics. I have uninstalled all GPU drivers and still doesn't work, however it now boots into windows which is a step further, but it stays on the logo. I have a 1060 6gb, x8dti, and x5660. Any help?

HI guys, my pc won't boot into windows unless I use the onboard graphics of my supermodel x8dti. I have a 1060 6gb, win 10 64bit and x5660. 550w PSU. Does anyone know why it won't work because I'm pretty sure the GPU is fine because it boots the pc and I can go to bios but I can't go into win 10

Well, upgrading your gpu will mean you are future proofing your set up.

On the other hand, people underestimate the importance of a good monitor.

Personally, I'd rather have something better now than maybe in the future.

In other words, which will improve your experience now, and in the immediate future?

Whichever that is would be my choice.

Im pretty sure the 1060 6GB can output 1440p 144hz over HDMI (Also has a HDMI 2.0 port). WIll it run high AAA games at 1440P 144hz? Probably not
