It's a 300W 80 plus bronze. Is it...too close?

My friend has an old PC with an i5 650, 6Gigs of DDR3 1066mhz RAM and currently, it's running an HD 5450 graphics card. He asked me about a cheap upgrade for his rig, and I was thinking about a radeon HD 4770 I have stored away. However, his PC is running on a Seasonic 80 plus bronze power supply, and I'm not sure it's gonna be able to run the card and not explode? I used outervision PSU calculator and it gave me a load wattage of 242 for his setup. What do you guys think?

I play at 1080p 144hz, with a 1080ti GPU.

I'm not him but I imagine it's because of the countless quirks and lack of polish on the platform, as with anything AMD. I also had a 5700XT at launch and the drivers were a disaster.

I was thinking about going back to Intel and moving into this platform...but PCIe 3 makes it a bit of a downer. It will support rocket lake though...so I'm not really sure. I didn't like AMD's Ryzen 3000 series. Got a B550 motherboard with a 3600X and it feels like beta testing. Too many quirks and things I'd rather not deal with.

The B550 chipset does support SAM on the Ryzen 5000/Radeon 6000 combo. I don't see any reason to upgrade, the B550 platform is very solid.

We got almost the same idea, my man. I also have the B550 Steel legend, 3600X and I plan to upgrade to 5600X and 6800 XT Taichi later on. Nice rig.

I want to buy a series x controller as I don't have a bluetooth controller right now but I can't find out if it works with apple devices. Google searching has been inconclusive and I can't find a clear answer. Can anyone test it and find out?

I want to get the maximum performance I can without bottlenecking this thing. It can be an old card, I don't mind buying used. Specs: Asus Strix B250f Gaming motherboard 8GB DDR4 2.4ghz RAM i3 7350K

This one. Do you think it'll work great, or maybe I should sacrifice the 2 extra cores and go for a 3600?

Hi there. I'm currently running this processor on my MSI A320M Gaming Pro motherboard. I purchased an ASUS B450 Prime Gaming and I want to overclock my processor to squeeze some more performance out if it's low clock cores. I'm using the stock cooler right now but I also bought a Coolermaster Masterliquid M120L V2 AIO Any advice? My RAM config is dual channel 16gb/4gb 2666mhz OCd to 2800.

Maybe I should just keep the pentium g4400 in there and make it an office PC then...
