  1. SPECS: MSI B550 A-PRO AMD Ryzen 5600x w/ Wraith Stealth Stock Cooler G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32gb 2x16 EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra WD SN-750 500gb M.2 NVMe SSD Samsung 860 EVO 1tb SATA SSD EVGA B5 650W 80+ Bronze Fully Modular PSU at the time of building I wanted to say that this is my first PC and i DID flash my BIOS via USB with the motherboard out of box prior to building! (Flash itself went fine but i feel it's an important component in trying to troubleshoot) I want to start not on the problem itself but a factor that adds to the mess, It begins during building when i
  2. Good lord, i checked MSI's support page for the board, shows the dates of the BIOS's they've launched and the BOOT/POST BIOS for Zen3 was released for it on the last day of August lol, and then an updated version at the end of September. I was looking at an article on Hothardware and they listed what boards (AT THE TIME) were getting BIOS's and when. And i somehow didn't think to simply check MSI's site directly, i apologize for my egregiously bad investigative skills, i really need to step back and go over what the hell i'm doing again before i kill my first build, thank you again!
  3. Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO So i'm here once again as a newbie, i'm gathering parts for my first PC and i was anticipating using a Ryzen 5000 series processor so i had bought this motherboard, however it's come to my attention i may have made a rookie mistake and cost myself a large headache because i did not do ENOUGH research. So i just got done watching Paul's Hardware' latest video, and it got me looking at MSI's release dates for the BIOS needed to support Zen 3, and the first batch for B550/x570 boards rolled out very late September, then a second batch would be rolled out to
  4. Alright, yeah that does make sense, i somewhat knew that the whole RGB scene with all the brands and controllers and addressable RGB etc. was gonna be a big tangled mess to a new guy, i just wasn't expecting to jump into the rainbow swimming pool so soon lol, thank you so much for helping out please have a good rest of your night/day and god bless.
  5. Ah ok so the whole supporting RGB software thing, is that only in regards for when the board itself has RGB lighting?
  6. Hello all! SO to set the stage quickly, i am fairly new to the PC world and in the process of getting parts to build my first PC, the motherboard i bought was the MSI B550-A Pro, buying it i knew it didn't specify support for MSI's RGB software, but at the time buying i'd rather save some pennies and get flashy later as per my budget. Well turns out my friend and god bless him, surprised me with some extra money, and i am now left wanting to splurge with some RGB fans, specifically 3 Phanteks SK120 DRGB PWM fans. So with that here's the question, the board has two 3pin 5v (jrainbow) and
