  1. I may have done a rusty spoon moment... Apparently it had 64MB again, not 128MB like I thought. So now it has 512MB If that was it a 1-year membership for me...
  2. I may have done a spoon moment According to the Google gods, this particular model revision doesn't like it when its CMOS/backup battery dies. And this one is so dead it doesn't provide any useful voltage at all. I'm going to grant myself a temporary 3-month membership to the Dum Dum Club if this fixes it.
  3. Ah. The noise and energy waste? Yeah, I can see that. Maybe you could set it to fold when you're not using it to make use of those higher clockspeeds.
  4. Does it bother you? Unless you want its temps to go down/causes other temps to go up, I'd leave it.
  5. sorry if that was rude - was reading the "Experiences with non-techies" thread and ususally reading the stupid parts of it makes me ruder than usual.
  6. I can't tell much from this picture - but are you Fawry? sqrt -16384
  7. I am running into more trouble It appears that this doesn't have Target Disk Mode. This is bad, because it is rejecting every disc that I give it (OS X 10.0, OS X 10.1.3, OS X 10.4.6). I haven't been able to find a valid OS 8.6 or OS 9 image yet, though, so does anyone know of/have one that I could get?
  8. Sorry - meant the Core i9-9900K. The square box probably comes with an Intel stock cooler.
  9. I prepare for tests by giving wrong answers before them. The test is done, so I can help now For a PSU, I would recommend a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold/Platinum GX-850. Here: Gold: https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-focus-plus-850-gold-ssr-850fx-850w/p/N82E16817151188 Platinum: https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-focus-plus-850-platinum-ssr-850px-850w/p/N82E16817151190
  10. True. Just thought I'd point it out. You could try and win the Intel "Golden Ticket" + Cryo Cooler bundle.
  11. Ehm... Core i7-8700K with an RTX 3090? If you have a $$$$$$$$$$$$$ budget, why not get a Zen 3 Ryzen chip?
  12. The new RTX 3000 cards have a habit of pulling a huge amount of energy occasionally, and it shutting down is likely your overcurrent protection kicking in.
