Godlygamer23 got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Has anybody ever made a video of purposely overloading a power supply to see what happens?
A decent power supply will ideally just shut off because of having overcurrent/overvoltage protection kicking in.

I tend to drink alcoholic beverages that are very tart as it helps to kind of hide the alcohol. I personally hate the taste and feeling of alcohol, and I definitely do not drink to the point of being drunk. Not only do I find it dumb, but I hate the feeling of being dizzy. Just isn't fun to me.

Godlygamer23 got a reaction from linuxChips2600 in Is it ok if i accidently toutched the pcbs of the mobo
I'm confused as to what you mean when you say that you accidentally touched the PCB of the motherboard. I mean, you have to in order to install it, no? You probably mean pins, not PCB. Either way, you're most likely totally fine. Honestly, when you go to build your PC, just occasionally touching a metal part of the case should be fine in order to fully discharge yourself. If you want to take full precaution, you can attach a wrist strap to your power supply, preferably unpainted metal if possible, with it plugged in(with a properly grounded outlet) and turned off, and use that to keep yourself grounded. You can also invest in an anti-static mat that connects to ground on your outlet, and it'll also give you a nice non-abrasive surface to use to place your components on.

Generally speaking, you can reuse coolers, but in your particular case, you cannot.

Move the RAM stick in third slot to the second slot.

Larger chassis types typically support various motherboard sizes. While I wouldn't necessarily consider it an issue, if you get a chassis that's way oversized for a motherboard, then it's probably a waste of money. Depends though.

In this case, I would say it's fine. But you do have a bit of room for expansion in the future.

If you strip away all the marketing, Macs are a type of PC. Plain and simple. "Personal Computer" is a generic term that Macs fall under.

Graphics cards have a BIOS, much like motherboards. But I'm not sure that's really possible on this card, at least not easily. It's not something I would personally venture into as you can easily make your graphics card completely unusable.

Route it and tie it to the chassis anchor points or use my own, and/or to other cables.

Godlygamer23 got a reaction from WaggishOhio383 in Mistakenly deleted a partition on my D: drive for storage
It was created when I reinstalled Windows 7 when I first got my SSD somewhere around 8 years ago. When W10 came out, I just upgraded to it directly without reinstalling it, and I still haven't gotten around to it lol. I forgot about it some months ago when I disconnected it so I could retire it(it's about a decade old drive), and was confused when I couldn't boot into Windows. I reconnected the drive, and all of a sudden could boot into it.

The "sweating" might be from the thermal pad. Leave the heatsink on.

Godlygamer23 got a reaction from Mark Kaine in [1080 Ti] max. Voltage draw seems kinda low to me
Whenever I read or watch reviews on graphics cards, I always skip the power draw section with Furmark or similar, as it's totally pointless because of the throttling.

pretty sure gpus throttle when running fumark...

hence, protip: don't use it, it's useless for "benchmarking" (and since gpus throttle while running it, for everything else too)

I only tried the "unstable" settings in GTA V so far. When starting the screens freeze, then go black and then I would get a error message regarding some GFX_3D3 stuff. I will try the benchmark you recommended and will give the results in this thread.

Godlygamer23 got a reaction from bmx6454 in Should I test my psu?
The only test you could do is see if it turns on when given input power, and maybe read the voltage coming from the pins with a multi-meter. I wouldn't worry about it too much though as it's an alright power supply.
