About Prebuild_Noob

  • Title
  1. I hope the price will drop and then Ill buy most likely. Or get tempted by cool new GPU&CPU and safe for a year again before I can affort ^^ Or do you think Ill be able to get a better set for the same price with the new ones? I heard they should drop between Sept and early 2021
  2. I like air cooling too, just mixing it seems wierd to me. A lot of it is really just personal preference, as you said
  3. Thank you, Ill check them out! Ill probably stick to ATX since mATX seems harder to build for the first time
  4. I only got a good deal on the AiO 2080 ti, aircooled is out of my price league even used Wouldnt it be strange to have water cooled GPU and air cooled CPU? Yeah, The SSD thing people seem to be pretty split... Ill look into what you recommended, thanks!
  5. Yeah, just trying to get experience now so I can buy when its a good deal Motherboards are still a bit black magic to me, any one you could recommend? I also do some Numerical Math, but Im also not sure how much of a performance difference a 3900X is to a 37000X. Ill look into that, thanks The samsung drive is something Ill add later when the first drive fills, I just figured Ill put it on the list so I dont forget which one I chose
  6. What personal preference thing would you change? like aesthetic stuff or change stuff out for better brands?
  7. oh, thats good to hear Which build do you think would do better? Im still not sure how good used GPU`s usually are, but I hope It should be able to do more than the new 2080 super
  8. Here´s the List of what I wanted to put together: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor €415.00 @ Amazon Deutschland CPU Cooler Corsair H115i PRO 55.4 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler €126.38 @ Amazon Deutschland Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard €129.90 @ Amazon Deutschland Memory C
  9. Usually a good cooler is worth it. You can also get one for 20 bucks and then have your cpu be too hot and not be as fast/die sooner. But I dont think thats a good alternative
  10. yeah, this is why I basically have the choice between super+ryzen 7 new or ti and ryzen 9 used for pretty much the same price but less reliability But you guys are probably right, waiting for new release will probably bring the price even lower. but then Ill probably be tempted to buy the new ones when they are good
  11. Im updating from a really old system, so my monitor will be new too I was aiming for either 60hz 4k or 144hz and lower res. I will probably buy most things apart from CPU and GPU new since they dont make up that much of the budget and I want reliability fo rthe expensive components. Any Idea how much 3000 series will cost/when it will come out/how much of an Improvement it wil be? Would you recommend waiting for th enew Ryzen generation too, or just the GPU?
  12. Around me, the savings for the super werent as much (600-700), but the 2080 ti usually sold around 700-800 which surprised me Yeah, I also heard that AMD is coming out with new hardware soon, so waiting would probably be wise How much improvement do you usually see with a new generation?
  13. As the title said, Im currently trying to build my first own PC (had prebuilds before that). From what I have gathered, GPU and CPU are the most sensible things to buy used, since others come with more drawbacks. I'm looking for a 2080 super or 2080 ti, and there are some nice offers around me, but Im not sure what to look out for. If they agree to meet up to test it, what are good Programms to test or visual things i need to pay attention too? (If anyone wants to comment on what to look out for CPU (for me most likely Ryzen 7 or 9 , Im happy to hear it too ) Ho
