  1. It's an old Cooler Master case a friend gave me no clue what model, it's so old it has a DVD drive in it. Motherboard is a Gigabyte b450M DS3H. I believe the fan is a Cooler Master. I'm looking at Noctua fans and the pwm fans are the same price on Amazon (US) as the dc fans are.
  2. have a noisy case fan 200mm need to replace it and not sure what to get. Currently all my fans are connected to psu because my motherboard only has one fan header. I don't know if I can safely connect a pwm fan in that way or not. I like the simplicity of connecting them that way. Any help appreciated.
  3. I need to buy a monitor and am hoping that an ultrawide will simplify my setup. I host meetings on Zoom and use two monitors. I have to display media and when doing so it needs to be maximized to display the best for other participants. W hen doing so the application I'm using to run the media I'm playing takes over the entire monitor, leaving me with only the 2nd monitor to monitor everything else with. I'm looking at ViewSonic Elite XG350R-C 35” UltraWide 21:9 Curved 1440p 100Hz RGB Gaming Monitor with FreeSync HDR10 and Advanced Ergonomics for Esports. Viewsonic has software that splits you
  4. shopping for a monitor. budget: under $500 us prefer to be closer to $300 us. want an ultrawide currently using a borrowed 27' for my primary monitor and a cheap 32' tv as secondary monitor. want to simplify setup hoping an ultrawide will eliminate the need for 2 monitors. main uses is gaming and Zoom. PC is AMD 3600 and GTX 1660 Super. in the US hoping to purchase in next 30 days
  5. I have Ryzen 5 3600 and 1660 super and haven't had any problems so far
  6. think that is self explanatory. need inexpensive but want decent sound quality particularly the microphone
  7. also the laws in some places (I'm in US) basically make those warranties useless unless the manufacturer wants to stand behind their product. Some will some won't. I feel better buying something that at least says that they will stand behind it.
  8. building first pc and there are stickers with the part and serial #'s on the ram ... leave them on? does it matter?
  9. I'm about to put together my first build. I got a free Cooler Master case from a friend and I noticed after getting it home that it only has 7 standoffs and the holes index inside the case shows 9 holes for micro-atx what I'm using. Is that a problem or will it be fine with only 7? Don't want to have to pull it apart to add them if they are needed... Also curious what model it is, it's certainly older. https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/MJoDjNhqTEWOXjUltjO3eA.vh6gUOjnRePgwz6Kh7x9SX
