  1. Do you remember what settings you were running with? That might be my problem.
  2. Ok, so I bet this question has been asked before, but thought I'd ask anyway. I currently have a R5 3600 and a GTX 1070. The gtx 1070 has been great for years, but I noticed I am starting to turn things down to low to get a solid 80 fps which is what I would want with my 144hz monitor. For example, I play a lot of COD MW, and at medium high settings, when action gets crazy my frames dip down to the 40s. I guess I'll just get to the question. I want to upgrade to a 3070 but I think I'll have huge bottleneck at 1080p with that much power. So would it be a bad idea to have an R5 3600 and RTX 3070
  3. So right now I am currently running a ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1070 for 1080p 144hz. My dad plays at 1440p however and is planning to upgrade from his gtx 1070 soon. He told me he would give me that card, so heres my question: can I SLI two GTX 1070's from different brands? (One being MSI and the other being Gigabyte) Thanks for reading!
  4. In more graphically intense games, i'd like to hit 60+fps. However in more competitive fast paced titles that usually don't look as great, 100+fps is where I would like to sit.
  5. Hello, right now I am running a R5 3600 paired with a GTX 1070 at 1080p 144hz. Am I going to have to upgrade my GPU soon? I want to play triple A titles with ease at 1080p. Right now my GTX 1070 seems to be handling 1080p gaming just fine. But in how many years do you think I will start having issues with the best titles out there? I'm asking as I do not want to spend any money on the system for the next 3 years. Thanks for reading!
  6. My computer is faster in every way except our GPU is the same. Yes I am copying from and to a SSD. Are the USB drivers just in the Windows settings somewhere if they did need a update?
  7. Actually I recently did a big upgrade and mine is faster, and we are both using SSDs.
  8. Hello, I am having a problem with my transfer speeds when using a USB stick. My Dad and I do a lot of transferring with a large USB stick so that we do not have to both download games separately. (This is because we have terrible internet and our area doesn't offer anything better.) Anyways, when my dad is copying files to and from the USB stick, its quite quick at speeds on average of 80 mb/s and topping around 130 mb/s. While it is plugged into my computer however, it is a at max 22 mb/s and drops even below that. I will note however, that at the very beginning of the transfer, it is up a
  9. So I tried to take my CPU cooler off, because my fans were not spinning, and my CPU fan was not spinning. So I thought maybe it was the CPU. The CPU is in the right way. But, when I tried to take the cooler off, it looks as if it took the thread ends of the motherboard with it. It's hard to explain so I included a picture. You can see the holes of where you used to be able to thread in the cooler. Those are the spots that the cooler completely took away with it.
  10. I am not at all against AMD. I just know that Intel has had better gaming performance in the past. My only worry is how future proof a 3600 is. I want this Cpu to last at least 4 years with more GPU upgrades along the way. What are your thoughts on that? How long do you think AMD will use the AM4 socket?
  11. I am going to be upgrading my CPU along with mobo and Ram. I currently have an i5 4690k with a gtx 1070 and 16 gb 1600mhz ddr3 RAM. I play 1080p, so a new processor is definitely needed. I was going to wait for the 10th gen intel CPUs to roll out and get myself a i5 10600k. However, i checked the used market and noticed a lot of i7 8700s (non K). Should I just go from lga 1150 to 1151 and go with the i7? Or should I wait and go for a lga 1200 mobo and get a new i5? Thank you for looking!
  12. Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this. My setup is a GTX 1070-16 gigs of DDR3 ram running at 1600 MHz-i5 4690k. I play at 1080p. Games these days are using more cores and threads I feel like. My GTX 1070 should be able to handle anything thrown at it at 1080p. But it isn't so I need a new CPU, I have a budget of around $500 to upgrade my CPU motherboard RAM. I also need a new case as mine has bad cooling and filters and organization. What is the best setup I can get with the best gaming performance for my budget? Thank you!
  13. Yes I agree, you should not need a GPU to watch anything, especially if your streaming.
