  1. Yeah for sure. I meant to write in the OP 'maybe' prior to 'o-rings as well'. My bad. The only reason why I felt the need to mention the o-rings, is because I recently added them to my k70 an the difference has genuinely been night an day.
  2. For reference the pricing is in AUD. But yeah they are expensive. It is still kinda worthwhile haha (idk apparently they are insane, I am planning on lubing them)
  3. I currently have Cherry Mx brown k70 mk2. I was thinking about getting this bundle deal + some lube an o-rings as well. Let me know what you think, cheers.
  4. On the machine which it was having a BSOD, I tried it quite a few times. Like I'm not sure exactly becuase this was a few days ago already, but like enough times where it could easily be considered "Ok something is going on here, I need to change something". Yeah I turned the PSU off, an I cleared bios when I got into it, however I didn't full the battery to clear cmos..
  5. The isue is, when the bsod occurred I tried to get back into windows (on the system that would even get passed post), within 1 minute of logging into windows (if it would make it that far) the BSOD would occur.
  6. Hey guys, I'm building a pc for a mate of mine, with these specs: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/CPbwNq) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/9nm323/amd-ryzen-5-3600-36-thz-6-core-processor-100-100000031box) | Purchased For $299.00 **CPU Cooler** | [Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2) | Purchased For $0.00 **Motherboar
  7. Ah ok. When the new psu arrives I will evaluate the acoustics. I also contacted be quiet!, they said that the front panel for the pure base 500Dx is slightly different, an therefore not compatiable. So I asked if I could purchase an additional panel for the pure base 500, so I can attempt a front panel ventilation mod.
  8. About a day after this post I realised that the reason for the constant loud fan noise has been my PSU fan. Lol. So I have ordered a corsair RM 750x 2018. Do you think the Noctua fans will provide superior static pressure relative to the silent wings 3 an pure wings 2 140mm fans, allowing greater intake through the front panel mesh?
  9. Hi guys, I have pretty much 0 experience with case modding to be honest, so I may require some ELI5. My goal for this mod is to improve airflow in my be quiet! pure base 500 build, I would have purchased the 500Dx but the black model was not available when I ordered anywhere in Australia, an it doesn't look like it will be available any time soon. I have seen various front panel mods around the internet, where the front panel has effectively had a chunk removed an replaced with mesh. I have the metallic grey version of the case, but I think black mesh will not look out of pla
  10. Ok, I have sent be quiet! an email about compatiabillity, as even if I were to return my current case the 500Dx [the same case but with an airflow oriented front panel] the black 500Dx is sold out in every be quiet! case distributor in Australia at the moment. So for for, it seems I have a few options. 1. take off front panel, jank rig some mesh to in front of the fans an just deal with the horrible aesthetic for a while. 2. Mod the existing front panel for Air flow. 3. if compatiable, purchase 500dx front panel. Is there anything else regarding my setup tha
  11. To my knowledge, I don't think motherboards can limit vram. Where did you hear about this? Side note, rtx 2060super's performance is pretty much equivalent to a rtx 2070. Depending on the price difference you may be better off choosing a 2060super series card rather than a 2060.
  12. Ok, in that case get I would reccomend a msi b450 Tomahawk Max.
  13. Yeah that makes sense, normally I would have gone with a airflow oriented case. The only reason I did not, is because I wanted to ensure that I would have adequate cpu cooler clearance for either the noctua nh-d15 or the dark rock pro 4. This was the only case that was within my price range at the time, an was compatiable with my desired heatsink. Maybe I could see if I can find a matching pront panel an try an modify it to house some front panel mesh. That would be sweet as. Do you think the 500Dx front panel is compatiable? That would be a lot easier of a solution if I could fin
  14. But yes, if you do decide x570 is right for you, the Aorus elite is a great board, from what I have read. But as always, remember to do your own research in order to determine whether or not the feature set, is in line with the feature set that you want.
  15. To be honest, I am not sure if the bump in motherboard tier is worth the additional cost, to you the end use considering it is for a streaming pc. Opting for a superior motherboard may provide some utillity due to the slightly better upgrade path PCI-e gen4 or idk a cheap 3950x or high end zen 3 cpu a few years down the track. If having those options are important enough to you, to where you can justify the additional cost then go for it. [I probably should have also mentioned improved overclocking headroom - the only reason I didn't is I figured since this is primarily for streami
