  1. Sounds like an earthing issue. I reside in a third world country and I have the exact same issue. Turns out the moronic electrical engineer of the housing project that I reside in didn't bother earthing the building. If you have a three pin outlet anywhere in your house, place two probes of a multimeter in the earth pin and the neutral pin and if there's a voltage reading showing up on your meter, that means your place of residence isn't probably earth'd/grounded.
  2. Hi, fellas. I just wanted to ask, does the RMx(black) have the same build quality as the RMx(white)? I noticed that in Tier A RMx(white) was typed out so that got me wondering if the RMx(black) has the same build quality as an RMx(white).
  3. If you don't mind me asking, I came across a thread a while back where a person in the thread said "The RM is a stripped down, cheapened up variant that's marginally inferior in quality terms to the TXM and is more on the lines with the latest CX version and is nowhere near close the true RMx.". While you have said that it's the exact same platform as the RMx except it doesn't utilize Japanese capacitors and utilizes a different fan, would you say there's some truth to the staement of the RM being "a stripped down, cheapened variant"? Link to the thread:
  4. Hello, everyone. I was doing some reading on the RM 2019 series and found a thread on this very same forum where someone said the following: "The RM is a stripped down, cheapened up variant that's marginally inferior in quality terms to the TXM and is more on the lines with the latest CX version and is nowhere near close the true RMx." Exactly how true is this statement? Thank you for your time.
  5. If anyone has anything they'd like to share concerning the RM850(2019), please do.
  6. Calm down, good sir. I just wanted to confirm because I'm about to spend around 165 USD on it. PC parts here are somewhat overpriced. Thank you for your time.
  7. Are the capacitors in the 2019 RM PSUs in any way bad in terms of quality?
  8. Would a 2019 RM850 be a solid buy? And is it in any way worse than the RMx PSU lineup?
  9. Alright, thank you for your time. My final question is a bit stupid, but I was hoping you could answer it: I noticed in the tier A Single-Rail section that you had "RM Gray" written. Is this referring to the 2019 RM power supplies such as the CP-9020196-UK?
  10. If you don't mind me asking, what do the RMx units have over the RM(2019) ones.
  11. The model number of the power supply is CP-9020196-UK. I just want to confirm, there's nothing wrong with the PSUs that have this model number, right?
  12. Hello, I have two questions: Question#1: I noticed that the TXM power supply is cheaper than a RMX power supply. Are RMX PSUs in any way better than TXM 2017 PSUs even if though they're both in the same tier list besides the fact that RMX PSUs are fully modular? Question#2: For Corsair's RM series, do older models have the same model, or part, number as newer models or do they have completely different model, or part, numbers? I'm asking because a certified retailer of Corsair is selling a RM850 that has the same model number as a gray label, but the picture they're displaying
