  1. Update on the case: I made a police report yesterday. As I accidentally deleted the conversation between the scammer, when I had to spring clean older convos from Facebook Marketplace. I still have a screenshot of his profile and phone number. As I lost my bankbook, I have to replace a new one and then get the transaction history out. The police might suspect that the bank account that I wired may be a fake. The cop that I spoke with said I may need to appear in court soon, but what is the chance I may receive a subpoena for this situation?
  2. He didn’t block me, but I can’t just go ahead and confront him yet. I’d ask for a refund, but as I mentioned, the “refund” may be stolen money. In fact, a victim in the group said another scammer screenshot his profile and threatened to expose everyone that he’s a money launderer when he tried to ask for a refund from him. That’s why I’m cautious and had to wait out on asking for my refund.
  3. Ok…what if I message him and ask him for a refund? If he screws with me, then I’ll go make a police report.
  4. I was looking for a GPU around market price in a buy/sell group on FB in my country, or but slightly higher. And this one person offered me to sell a RTX3060Ti for a slightly higher price than the market price last sunday. I paid by bank transfer. However, upon paying him the money, I didn’t receive the product even now. There were other victims who got conned in the Facebook group. I was thinking about demanding a refund, but the chance is only 50% as people got blocked by the scammers, or even threatened with criminal intimidation or legal action. One victim pointed out that even
  5. In case something happens, how good will MSI and ASUS honor our RMA and warranty? I have a build that is ROG, except for the case and GPU (which are Corsair and MSI).
  6. Some wouldn’t like getting their hands too dirty due to constant leak tests and work they have to go through during the process. If I hire someone, like a store person to assemble the custom loop, what will be the pros and cons?
  7. My eyes are on the RTX3060Ti, but stores forced me to buy bundled items if I want to get my hands on the new GPU. One such bundle I saw in my country (Taiwan) was a TUF Plus B550M mobo, Micron Crucial Ballistix 8x2, and R5 5600X. As my Crosshair XIII Hero X570 motherboard is still relatively new, and my RAM is 16x2 D4-3200, compared to the 8x2 D4-3000 in the bundle, I will not see a need to keep the bundled items, so I'm thinking about selling them online, and then keep the GPU. Of course, at a lower price. I'm a little concerned if the bundle will be e-Wa
  8. I'm thinking about getting an RTX3060Ti. Visited the hardware store, and to my biggest frustration, the shops I visited were either SOLD OUT, and other stores made me buy the items in bundle (I have built my own PC long ago btw, so I'm far from needing a bundle) Is there anywhere where I can get th GPU individually? It's literally maddening! Anyone else on the same boat as I am?
  9. I just got a acrylic cover that I’ll use temporarily until I get a replacement glass panel (original one smashed when I opened my PC for cleaning). Some people said that acrylic covers can cause ESD, and I’ve placed the acrylic cover on the pc for an hour. There were no holes where I can screw the panel to my case. should I be worried?
  10. Earlier today, my Corsair 4000X glass panel broke, so I had to make do with the rear panel of my old case (doesn’t fit, so I just covered it plainly) until I get an acrylic cover. I contacted repair service in my country so I hope to hear from them soon. but where can I get acrylic cover? Had no luck trying to get one so far, as two shops I went didn’t sell them.
  11. I had to install a case fan so I opened the glass panel of my Corsair 4000X to do the work, and I was unfortunate to have my glass panel shattered to bits! Worse: I just got the case yesterday! whom should I contact? I don’t want to reassemble the entire machine again! should I contact my retail store or Corsair for RMA?
