  1. So here are a few highlights from my power bill for most of the event.......maybe I should just donate cash next year? (**Important Note** Half my power comes from renewables like solar and wind and half from natural gas, relatively guilt free) I guess 1000kwh is a small price to pay to save humanity As you can see, while the AC is running in my 130+ year old apartment with no insulation power is at a premium, it's why I cant participate during the summer events. I started folding in April for the first time, main rig pulls around 430watts off the wall when folding wit
  2. Like the man once said "that's all their is, and their ain't no more!". I will probably drop off a bit on 11/14 too.... A fellow gamer had a complete system failure so I am gutting Spare Parts 2.0 to help a friend in need. It will be replaced with a 2600x, 32 gigs DDR4 3200 cl6 and a B450 and a 1660ti but likely wont be up till its all over.
  3. Spare Parts 1.0 had a crash from 11pm last night till 11am EST this morning.......so if you want to exclude those hours I think we can all agree that would be perfectly acceptable ........I think my Vega 56 Strix card is due for retirement.
  4. 5800x is just too overpriced for its performance, If it was around $50 less it might be worth the savings. But for only $100 more, I would totally go for the 5900x.
  5. Appreciate the offer, but the 3700x is going into Spare parts 1.0 and its 2700x will replace the 1600AF in Spare Parts 2.0 when I do nab a 3900x second hand. I would go with the 5900x but I cant really justify it on a B450. Holding out on the next major overhaul for the next socket.
  6. I kind of want to see if Halo 4 play's better on PC when it comes out in the MCC collection next month......I know I know, guilty pleasure
  7. I had to head out but I cranked it to full and left the slot open. Lets see what happens.
  8. Speaking of old hardware.........since when does folding@home support intel IGPU's?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  9. How do you think I have been holding on to the middle of the pack?
  10. I think my Motile M-142 came with home, don't think my volume license will work on it and I am far too lazy to reimage it. Nice thing is, home lets you delay updates just like pro now, I just think there is a limit to how long they are delayed. One of these folding months I have to do the math(s) to figure out if I can bring all my hardware to bear, total of 22 desktops 4 servers and 17 laptops from as far back as 1998 to last month. If I run a lightweight linux distro on the older machines I bet they could fold whole hundreds of PPD lol. However I think the servers would BREAK my circuit brea
