Bump. I could really use some advice. This is what I'm thinking. The other components I have. The GPU I'm still unsure of. thinking 2060 Super or 2070? Hopefully find a used one cheap enough? I would prefer a smaller build. I understand, Hoping to keep it under $600. I have a ssd I can use. For a case I want to use a Silverstone SG13. So I need CPU, Mobo, RAM, PSU, GPU

Budget (including currency): $600-$700 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of Warcraft, <2010 titles. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a 4k TV I want to use, I'm not worried about peripherals. I'm on a budget, but I'm not sure where I should be for hardware. I know it needs to be mini itx form factor. So I'm thinking a 10th gen I3? I dont need ultra settings on WoW

I would prefer under $800 USD, cheaper would be better

I want to be realistic, but I also want to be cheap as possible.

I'll admit right off the bat, I have zero experience with laptops. I've done a little browsing, but I'm not sure what to look for. I'm looking for a "budget" laptop to play WoW. I know that's a very subjective statement. I would hope to run the upcoming expansion on medium-high settings. Other things to consider, I'm impartial to LEDs, flashy looks, so thats not a huge deciding factor. Some opinions/suggestions would be great. Thank you

Thanks for all the info! I appreciate this

I've toyed with this idea for a while, and I think I'm at a point where I want to peruse a build for folding. I understand cpu folding is a waste, does that mean I'm good getting a celeron or similar CPU? Does RAM amount matter? I have a few Ideas for what GPU to grab. Any info/suggestions/criticisms would be appreciated.

I was generously gifted some used, but working at the time pc parts. An I5-4670k, Asus Mobo, 16gb Kingston DDR3, Seasonic Power supply. Shortly after receving these items I installed them into a spare case that I had, I booted it to bios everthing worked and then let it be. Fast forward a couple months. I booted the PC up to install windows, The install completed. Then is when problems started. It froze twice, first trying to download software, then the second time it was just idle. After I forced a shut down It wouldn't power back on. No fans, only an led on the mother board. I went thro

How old is your cooler? If it had been keeping it cool for a time, it may be a sign your cooler is failing.
-
Thank you for clarifying that

I know drivers are still a bit of an issue, but maybe a current gen AMD gpu instead of the 580. That would be my only criticism.

I am far from a professional, so some of these other brands may be reliable. If it were me in your shoes I would go with this one https://www.hepsiburada.com/seasonic-s12ii-620-620w-80-bronze-power-supply-sea-s12ii-620-p-BD300643?magaza=Teknobiyotik

you can try re mounting with new thermal paste, or get a bigger cooler if the sound bothers you
