It'll work, but you'll lose performance.

We haven't had any benchmarking so nothing can be said for sure. However, I wouldn't expect most applications - particularly games - to require the PCIe bandwidth of gen 4.

My general impression of them, is that they're the IGN of tech news, if that makes sense.

No, they have TMZ level integrity.   If you dare question them you're a racist and part of every problem. -Literally a claim by one of their leaders after the notorious video.

there are 2 6 pin to single 8 pin converter, if you so desire
but at least try to use 6 pins coming from 2 separate cables from your PSU
but understand the risk of not only potential fire hazard, but a failing psu can burn out your entire system, which is the main reason why i dont advocate taking shortcuts or cheaping out on them

NoobBoi reacted to SansVarnic in Metal Zip Ties VS Nylon Zip Ties (Which one is better in a PC)
Metal zip ties are for specialized used, specifically used in areas that would have exposure to outside elements that would normally break down plastic zipties.
Never used these in electronics unless you know and understand where and when it is safe.
    Yes, always with electronics.
How big is your heat sink and how thick is the fan? that will be your answer...

Go nuts, seems like a stupid idea, but then again I used to race a 400hp front wheel drive in the 90's which was pretty stupid to.

Yes, I knew what you meant, I just wanted you to clarify the wording as your comparison could've been interpreted as a direct reply to OP's question by someone less attentive and thus get confused. As you did clarify the wording, I don't have anything further to say ?

Nope. BGA is the general idea of using solder balls underneath the chip to connect it to a PCB, fcBGA is a specific package-design of BGA. Two different things.

Well since you gave SO much context into the original post I must have gotten lost in all the detail there trying to figure out what you're trying to ask..... Also, if you look at BGA1 and BGA2 they are also referred to as FCBGA but without knowing anything about what you're wanting to really get at it's pretty hard to answer correctly and if we assume you're asking about BGA1 and BGA2 then my original point stands.

Not unless you wish it to fit, almost all laptop keyboards are hooked up through a usb interface via a ribbon cable.

if its not specifically designed to fit that model, it wont. Yes you could hook up anything to to use interface (usually a 2mm high flat long ribbon connector) and hack something in, but there's usually also power or proprietary buttons through the same connector, so you'd need to find the [pin out.

So for example, put a HP DV series keyboard in another DV series (eg some had backlighting) sure. Put a laptop keyboard from a dell into a HP, not easiy and it'll look like shit without some case modding
