  3. not much but i have my fathers pc running a 3600 in a b350 board with not the best vrm's and would like to give him my current mobo and upgrade to a board that can better handle my 32gb of ram my kraken x53 and my 5600x to future proof it and the fact i want more capabilities on my system
  4. i currently have B450 GAMING PLUS MAX | Motherboard | MSI Global ive upgraded to a zen 3 cpu and want to upgrade ive watched alot of vids on b550 vs x570 and am a bit stuck between these boards which one should i get Amazon.com: GIGABYTE X570 AORUS Elite Wi-Fi (AMD Ryzen 3000/X570/ATX/PCIe4.0/DDR4/Intel Dual Band 802.11AC Wi-Fi/Front USB Type-C/RGB Fusion 2.0/M.2 Thermal Guard/Gaming Motherboard): Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming AMD AM4 Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 & 3rd Gen Ryzen ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb
  5. i currently have a b450 gaming plus max from msi i updated the bios from the support page to support my 5600x im currenly going to get a b550 strix mobo and am going to put my ryzen 5 3600 back in my current mobo its a budget board i belive when i updated the bios my 3600 still booting the system it did not say it was a beta so it should still work with the 3600 i heard with the beta bios update it removed support for the old chips but this was not a beta update it was on the main support page and i think it still booted after the update will my system still work if i put the 3600 back in i wo
  6. specs mobo i think is the issue: B450 GAMING PLUS MAX | Motherboard | MSI Global 2070super 5600x 32gb 3200mhz ive upgraded stuff over time i think my current mobo is a issue with my ram running at 3200mhz and 4x8 sticks ive done some ram stress with memtest and while running cinebench at the same time testing with xmp on and off with xmp on the system apears to be slightly unstable while when it is off it seems to be more responsive while under the full load of memtest and cinebench could this mean i need a higher quality mobo on the x570 platform to be
  7. ive done some ram stress with memtest and while running cinebench at the same time testing with xmp on and off with xmp on the system apears to be slightly unstable while when it is off it seems to be more responsive while under the full load of memtest and cinebench could this mean i need a higher quality mobo on the x570 platform to be able to have more stablility
  8. whats weird is when disabling xmp the system seems faster and more responsive could this be to high of a memery speed and to much ram for the mobo
  9. im going to test it atm if it fixes the issue with it off and not running 4sticks at 3200mhz which i wouldent like would a x570 mobo fix my issue allowing me to run all 32gigs at 3200mhz and running my hardware to run without errors also this is the error i get in event veiwer when i click the reset switch when it freezes
  10. but maybe having the 4 sticks could be hurting it a bit do you think getting a better mobo could help
  11. no i havent but it has not causes a issue before this started happening but i would like to have xmp on
  12. ok at least once a day doesent matter if im idle or gaming things slowly start to freeze up if im listning to music the words repeat apps stop responding and windows all freezes up exept for my mouse all of the smart tests saidd the ssd is ok ive reinstalled windows and alot of other utilities says its ok
  13. i have a B450 GAMING PLUS MAX | Motherboard | MSI Global and i use 32gb ram 3200mhz with a bios update to use a 5600x a rtx 2070 super and a snd750 nvme drive from wd is it possible that this could cause windows crashes from using overkill hardware with a buget board ive reinstalled windows multiple times and it still crahes every day at least once and would buying a mobo like this Amazon.com: GIGABYTE X570 AORUS Elite Wi-Fi (AMD Ryzen 3000/X570/ATX/PCIe4.0/DDR4/Intel Dual Band 802.11AC Wi-Fi/Front USB Type-C/RGB Fusion 2.0/M.2 Thermal Guard/Gaming Motherboard): Compute
  14. So I’m convinced my ssd is dying I’ve done everything to try to fix it but since it freezes windows I’ve been resorting to the reset switch on my pc case I know this is the point of the button but over a span of time like once every day I’ll end up having to hit the reset switch could this cause actual hardware damage over a timeframe of around a year by just clicking the reset switch once daily
