  1. My CPU is already undervolted, and this was mainly done due to my terrible quality thermal paste. An all-core load gets me to around 80c. I know that more heat means more resistance, but does this mean that an already lower temperature would allow further undevolting? I'm not asking for advice about how I should replace my thermal paste, I know I should, and I will, but I'm just curious. Like, if my CPU right now at 80c can be stable at 1.28v, would there be a chance of stability at 1.26 if I had a better cooler? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but it sounds plausible enough in my head that i
  2. This! It worked perfectly. I also realised I should probably put the UK to the top of my mirrorlist instead of just having worldwide and UK servers uncommented. Thanks for the help!
  3. I don't know if you'd want the whole file, but it's just all the regular servers / country list. I'll replace it and see what happens EDIT: Generating new mirrorlist doesn't help
  4. So, I kept getting the error in Arch Linux when running "pacman -Syu", where it'd say error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/core.db: Unrecognized archive format error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/extra.db: Unrecognized archive format error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/community.db: Unrecognized archive format error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/multilib.db: Unrecognized archive format I just looked at those files, and they al redirect to "zero bounce email validation". I deleted them, and ran -Syu again to regenerate those files, and the
  5. If using the latest kernel, downgrade for now! Just confirmed on my own Arch install, and saw mentions of this on forums after I noticed high power usage. If on arch, you can install "downgrade", then run "downgrade linux" in the terminal (or linux-zen if you use it like me) and select 5.12.12 Thought you might like to know!
  6. Do you hate motion blur. I do, and I want hard numbers to see how many people agree/disagree
  7. Putting parts list together for a friend (currently have a 3600 myself) and they're gonna get a first gen CPU, and upgrade later. If i suggest a b450 motherboard that has out of the box support for Ryzen 3000, will it still support 1000 and 2000 cpus, or is it like the 5000 update that's removing older CPU support/
