Founders got a reaction from sgteaglefort in 3D Printed Chicken for you
FCF - Fused Chicken Fabrication? So if we apply the RepRap principles are we making more 3D chicken printers using 3D printed chicken parts? 🤣 I realize it's imitation meat but extruding a meat-like substance just sounds a bit off to me, unless you're making sausage.

Replaces the old BENQ with a shiny new Alienware panel. @KONA decides to prop the old panel on its side against the wall with the stand hanging off the side. I'm not mad but a desk mounted stand could get you sorted out 🤪.
Zando, you can always pop off your second VESA arm until you get a panel sorted out. I'm assuming it would be a smaller panel mounted horizontally? That's what I did with my old 22 inch. It's a TN but I have it at enough of an angle that it looks just fine.

Founders got a reaction from sub68 in What's worse (or better), beard Linus or blond Linus?
The fact that he cleaned up his neck tells me he's thinking about keeping the beard awhile. Personally, I'm cool with Linus looking a little less like a cute lesbian moving forward.

You probably misunderstood what kind of pics we want in this thread. Like actual pictures of your battlestation, office, mancave, LAN center or what you might have.

I modified a Lian Li PC Q37 ITX box to fit my mATX threadripper system yesterday.
Still not 100% satisfied with the loop tho.
Here's the before:
Here's the after:
Still a work in progress. I'm waiting on the second RTX 2080 and some more M.2 disks.

Here is my setup from signature. I had this old 32” 720p tv with damaged speakers laying around and used some "engineering" to install it as my second monitor. Removed the plastic frame and screw it in a shelf support bracket to create the angle, covering the metal with electrical tape… it can fool you by looking like a slim tv from far away and works very well (haha)
Also went ahead and installed a shelf just for the case, that way I have more space and its more secure up there (avoid spilling drinks etc). Same for the edifier speakers, and I gotta say, the audio quality improved by a lot in doing that.

I decided to build my own. I’d always thought vintage stereo cabinets were nice pieces of furniture, so I decided to buy a second hand one and see if I could retrofit it into a computer. AMD Ryzen 3700, 64 Gb, Radeon RX 5700 XT.
Here are a few fun things I learned from this project:
You can repair wood veneer with superglue. Who knew? Wireless charging goes thru wood (as long as it’s thin enough). Birch is a pain to stain evenly. Paper bag material is kinda like 2000 grit sandpaper… kinda. I could listen to this guy talk about restoring furniture for hours on end. Watercooling the X570 chipset is a must for silent operation. You can polish polyurethane to a shine with buffing pads and car polish. Watercooling looks amazing but is totally not worth it otherwise. Corsair’s RGB lighting system uses proprietary connectors. I hate proprietary connectors.. My patience has limits The end result has a ton of minor flaws, is totally overkill for me and I love it.
This thing is so impracticable, how could you not love it?
