this is classic example of searching for a solution to a problem that doesnt exist.
buy three systems and you will be happy, your family will be happy.
you will live a long life and avoid a divorce.

you dont need to make this more complex and expensive. linus tore apart his three person pc recently and as far as im aware no one even used it in the office

if i had 2500 dollars i would want a solution that works. i wouldnt want them to suffer though endless troubleshooting and never get it working. it would also suck blowing 2500 dollars on expensive hardware only to tear everything apart.

also realistically its around 4000 dollars without graphics because you are moving to higher core count processor, higher capacity dimms, more expensive power supplies... these are typically only needed in the workstation and enterprise space with a premium price.

the reality its cheaper, and easier to buy three pcs off of consumer parts.
    dont over complicate things.

Enterprises do regular refreshes of computers for life cycle management

Its less expensive in terms of costs to replace machines than deal with lost productivity, sourcing parts, and support time for out of support machines.

Consumers are more likely to wait for something to fail before replacement

i recommend against forums personally you have no idea if the person is misrepresenting their knowledge or has a bias into a product

lots of people in the "industry" have bias. forum is "cooler talk" around technology and if its an important decision for your company or business you should really speak to a qualified person

You make a gross misconception here. Apple is planing for the future, for M1-successors. If they continue their ARM path the way they started it, they will sell tons and tons of M1-successor chips, and they occupy much more wafer area than the mobile brothers.
They are not a strain, their volume is huge since they are in so many devices, not only phones but also tables. Putting it all together Apple will need a crapload of 5nm silicon next year. And if Covid showed us anything so far, it is a vastly increased demand for consumer electronics, not a decline at all.

i dont buy a computer to run cinebench. However, if you want to look at synthetic test numbers you can look at 4800U in multi core tests it will outperform M1 by almost double.

however, the reality is if the computer does all the tasks you want thats what matters.

Ask what it was used for...
make sure wasnt a mining card.

Just be aware you ask about usage and overclocks but they can lie. Try and get to confirmation in writing in email.

Also ask for him to show a video of the card installed in a system with it running listen for abnormal fan noise make sure video also  shows a stress test with few mins playing a video game or running a benchmark not just desktop.

how about a policy published online to settle any fear and make more clear and transparent about the program

    what the program is for?
    Who is eligible?
    What are the conditions?

Otherwise we all in the dark. We lost faith... we all aint going to forget it.
NVIDIA please make a change and make the whole program public for everyone to see

Use vga mode to remove drivers and reboot.

not just memory but the type of memory....
workstations typically want not just performance but reliability

    this includes things like.
ecc memory to help to help detect and prevent memory errors
raid to help prevent downtime from drive failures
workstation gpus, again with gpu ecc memory to help detect and prevent memory errors

performance is important... but its not everything in the professional space.

some things like ECC which is more costly and hurt performance is generally preferred
because it helps improve reliability and avoid data corruption

consumer versus the server or workstation space is significantly different
please consider what your real wants and needs are trying to accomplish.

tech.guru got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Rtx 3070 crashes
sounds like a hard ware issue, when you play game you stress the components and failures show up that may not be noticed otherwise. typically the issue can be caused by memory, the gpu or the power supply or even motherboard.

start by examining everything one thing at a time,
           * examine the pci pins slot on the motherboard for damage, ensure its fully clipped into the slot
           * ensure memory is properly seated
           * remove any overclocks until you find root cause (this includes disabling XMP)
           * ensure power connectors are fully attached to the video card

if this is a recent upgrade, try your old card? does it work fine?
if it does it rules out some of the components. and points to either the power supply (as the newer cards draw alot of power) or the video card itself. it would be the easiest second thing to try.

also if your using a third party power cable for the video card for the new connector,
try the nvidia oem Y converter cable from the box.

if you understand intel is more than a processor company you would understand they have long way to go before they are gone.

intel will no doubt have challenges in consumer processor market, but PC sales were generally down year after year until covid and they still lead AMD.

intel processors are still a market leader in the enterprise market and lack of product options from OEM integrators is a big AMD weakness they have yet to fix.

false narrative, intel has a diverse product stack and while they didnt have a good year.
they arnt going bankrupt anytime soon.

they have many products from wireless, storage and networking that are growing and there processors are still profitable even if consumer sales are down.

For all the haters of Microsoft people forget bill gates saved apple from bankruptcy with an investmentof 150m. if i had to choose between only the two options you mention... considering the smart phone industry is around trillions of dollars, and gave the capital to apple to invest and R&D there own M1 silicon obviously iphone

However, none of this would be possible without Bill gates saving the company. I would argue it wasnt an invention that was important it was the time when apple decided to partner with microsoft and bill gates to avoid bankruptcy that put apple on the path and the start of greatness.

Bill gates helped make apple what it is today.
