  1. Hello, I just wanted to post my build in progress for a final review before finishing buying the rest of the parts. I have already purchased the power supply, fan controller, fans, processor, case and motherboard. I'm searching through Black Friday deals as I see them to try and get the rest of the parts over the next few weeks. I know this build is overkill and from a cost/performance ratio and it isn't the best financial decision. I'm okay with that. My goal was to push my 240hz monitor on high graphics settings as much as I can. A few side notes: the 1000W power su
  2. Thanks for all of the info. I ended up going with this one. Hopefully it was a good decision https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Freezer-eSports-DUO-Configuration/dp/B07MJGNJB3/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
  3. I actually just purchased the white and black one since that's the colors of the case https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Freezer-eSports-DUO-Configuration/dp/B07MJGNJB3/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
  4. Do these coolers come with thermal paste already applied?
  5. Is this one okay? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KVNCEIG?tag=linus21-20 I know I could reuse it, but the new machine is going to be around $3000 and I'm planning on putting a H150I in it.
  6. I’d like to stay in the $40 range or cheaper if possible if I can find something adequate. I have an H100I in it now that is going out and since I’m about to build a new machine within the next month I don’t really want to go crazy.
  7. I found the case. https://www.newegg.com/white-corsair-graphite-series-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811139005?Item=N82E16811139005 and I’m using this memory https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820231929?Item=N82E16820231929 I’m located in the US and since this is going to be a backup machine I’m just looking for a moderately cheap cooling solution that will sufficiently cool a 6700k while gaming for long sessions.
  8. It's temporary from the standpoint that it's not going to be my main rig, but I'm still going to keep it around for use and would like to keep it running. Thanks for input.
  9. Hello, My current PC has an AIO that is clogging up I believe. It's loud and one tube is hot and another is cold. I'm currently waiting for black friday/cyber monday to build my dream rig, but the current rig still has a 1070 and I7 6700k so I'd like to maintain it. I'm just looking for a cheap good cooling solution that will work. The case is a mid tower Corsair (can't remember exactly which model). I'm not overclocking the CPU or anything in this rig and it's pretty much only used for gaming.
  10. So if he gets the 3700x you don't think there is a need for any other cooler besides the one it comes with?
  11. Thanks for the information. He wants a 2070 super which is kind of why I put that in there. Also the free game pretty much offsets the price difference as you showed on the 3600 vs. 3600x. I could swap the motherboard out for a b450 and save $80 or so. As for cooling an air cooler will be fine, but I think he wants an aio. I'd probably go with a dark rock pro, but that's kind of up to him.

  13. This is what I came up with. Let me know your thoughts. 14. I believe he is using a 120 hz monitor and it's just a general gaming machine. He would like to keep it around 1700-1800 Canadian.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, that was bad typing I meant PC. He is Canadian, but I'm shopping around $1500 USD factoring in that it will be more in Canadian. I also see there is no cooling in the build you provided?
