Show screen on either Monitor OR TV
beforetomorrow replied to beforetomorrow's topic in New Builds and Planning
Thank you, looks promising. However I can't find the option to create displaygroups, would you happen to know where it is? (Couldn't find it with google either) -
Not sure if this is the right subforum for this, sorry if it isn't. My PC is connected to two monitors and a TV and I want it to output to EITHER the monitors OR the TV, but never both at the same time. Is there a way to set this up and switch back and forth easily?

I got a new psu but still have the same problem. I can hear clicking something in the new PSU (probably safety mechanism) when I try to turn on the PC when the GPU is connected to the PSU. So same question: can I somehow diagnose/fix my GPU?
-
Alright, thanks I'll try that first then.

Hey guys, about 5 days into quarantine my PC randomly shut off and wouldn't turn on again. I found out that this happens whenever the GPU is connected to the PSU. When it's connected and I try to turn the PC on the fans spin for half a second and then the PC is dead. It works fine without the GPU. Is there a way to troubleshoot and eventually fix somehow? I can afford a new GPU but I'm not super rich so I'd rather save some money. My current build (2015): https://pcpartpicker.com/user/beforetomorrow/saved/#view=XZJp99

Office laptop for my mom

"Too ugly" - Mom Thanks for the recommendation, it would be a decent laptop but she doesn't like it. -
Office laptop for my mom

Well she doesn't use linux but it doesn't matter too much. Worst case I can just buy a copy of windows and install it for her. -
Hey y'all, I'm looking for an office laptop for my mom. She'll mainly be typing on it, sometimes browsing newspaper websites and storing her fotos on it. What it needs: Longevity, it should be of high quality even if it costs a bit more Comfortable Keyboard Size not too small (14" or 15") SSD (256gb+) A not shitty trackpad Good design - she'd rather spend a 100€ more for a good looking one What it doesn't need (but doesn't hurt): Super strong CPU Tons of RAM, 8GB should suffice Dedicated GPU (although maybe I'd like to borrow it f
