Thanks to all of you for the information, I now know what to do and I'm really grateful. Any other tips or tricks you can think of that would be helpful, just in case?

So i ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TC4TPCN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that and just now realised in the desciption it says "Next Generation Software. Compatibility - Intel 100 Series,Intel 200 Series,Intel 300 Series,Intel X299" does that mean the ram won't work at all on my ryzen 5 3600?

Aaralli reacted to A84Gamer in Is it possible to connect Netgear Mesh Satellite to AX4300
    Hey there,
    I have the Netgear Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX4300 WiFi 6 Router.
Is it possible to connect a Nighthawk Mesh Satellite to it in order to extend my network in the same way a mesh network behaves?
Or is the AX4300 not designed to function as a mesh base station in the first place?  I don't want to simply use a range extender since it doesn't offer the same benefits of a mesh node.

    Thanks!

Aaralli reacted to toiletfyshy in Can I use fan splitters on the Commander Pro?
I run 6 SP120 RGB Fans (.3A each) in my PC and a Corsair Hydro X XD5 pump/res (2.5A). My pump is connected to port 6 on my commander pro leaving me 5 ports left for my 6 fans. So I connected 2 fans to a 4 pin Y splitter and plugged it to port 5 and the rest of the fans on 1-4. Port 5 is just died today. None of my fans will work on port 5 but all fans will work on ports 1-4. There are many cases where people's fan ports die from using a splitter while under the 1A rating. Seems like the best thing to do is to have multiple Commander Pros if you need more fan ports since 1 port will die if you use a 2 way fan splitter.

Note with the pump and all 6 fans, my total is 4.3A. So I'm within range of max rating.

You can mix and match displays with different refresh rates, so nothing to worry about.

Don't worry I totally agree, if you want those parts and have the $$$ go for it. Just saying there may be better 'budget' options. But I love my Crosshair VII Hero and my Corsair products lol. Unnecessary, yes slightly, worth it in my opinion, 100%.

I've had good luck with my 3200MHz Corsair RGB Pro kit, I've manually OC'd it to 3466Mhz, 1.3500V, and tightened up the timings.

EDIT: I also agree with the fact that iCUE is the best/most comprehensive piece of software for RGB, that said I have had issue with it. But overall when it is functioning correct, it is the best piece of RGB software I have used by a large margin.

I mean a little overkill on the motherboard and might want to check the price of of Gskills 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 RAM but if you have the money all those parts are good. The 860 evos are really good in terms of $/GB right now so a good buy there.

RAM, storage (usually an SSD these days), and the Wifi card are commonly upgradable... More expensive laptops sometimes have everything interchangable, but that's quite rare.

I think it's a decent buy, and it's a lot of parts for significantly less than the usual. If the mobo is bad, it shouldn't be too hard to replace it since everything else was so cheap. Just my two cents.

I also have an AMD R9 270X, and both that and the GTX 680 are in near-mint condition. I reapplied thermal paste and thermal pads to the cards just last year. They're clean and have been kept in anti-static containers. I have a backup.

    Hello there,
I wanted to share my new project build with you.

Albedo (Latin: albedo, meaning 'whiteness') is the measure of the diffuse reflection of solar radiation out of the total solar radiation received by an astronomical body.

I'm an PC enthusiast and IT specialist from southern Germany and quite new to this forum,
nevertheless I'm a frequent viewer of ltt videos and that's why I also post this build here.

I'd like to start with the overall specs, so you know what to expect:

    Hardware:
    Case:
    Watercooling:

As you can see that's quite an overkill build, but also my money, but I'm not only gaming on this machine, as that would be quite wasteful.

    Now little Storytime:

The idea of a new build came to my mind with the release of the AMD Ryzen 3000 series, I saw that sweet 16 core CPU and knew I needed it.
Then a good friend of mine had the idea to make a little mod series for him, me and a few willing customers. That decided we designed
a prototype case with Parvum Systems in an Evangelion Anime Style (Eva-01) and ordered it mid august'19. I received the case mid/end december
with major defects, replacement parts still missing, and that's why I hit my frustration limit (can tell you more about that if wished).
I found about PC Design foundry and ordered a new case there. Case is now in design and manufacturing starts today.
The Evangelion Mini series is dead for now, prototype case will be used by said friend, when replacement parts arrive.

I'm very eager to start with the build process soon, every part of the hardware and watercooling is already at home, and waiting to be used.

This is the most well-thought-out response I e ever gotten on this forum and I REALLY appreciate it. Thank you very much.  I do have a couple things to say about it though. So I bought a Corsair Crystal 680x case, which I plan to insert 280mm radiators at the top and bottom, and have the three front fans and single rear fan cooling everything that isn't watercooled. And I do plan to overclock my Ryzen 7 3800x and RTX 2080 Super as much as I can, so cooling might become more difficult than just running at stock. I'm sure the two radiators is enough, but is it too much?
