if it's a  250 ohm 990 then it may be too quite. the bass can sound weak or loose. but upper regions like upper mids and treble aren't exactly hard to drive so those regions will probably be fine especially if you just need footsteps

Just found this guy though. It's the best alternative to the magni.

It's closer to the 880 than the 990 buts it's basically a retuned 32ohm 990. They put the drivers into a dt 880 chassis, put amiron home foam on it and added some new pads. Sounds great and is by far one of the tamest Beyers I've ever heard. Thing should have been called kitty. If you take the foam pads off it and put original 990 pads it sound Fairly similar to 32 ohm 990.

I like the 990 and use them myself. they are just sharp for most ears. the best sounding model is the hardest to drive which is the 990 600 ohm. you would need at least a liquid spark stack or the schiit stack. the liquid spark stack is a better pairing for them as they can help tame the treble on the 990 and havea good amount  power to support the bass region.

Noctua is easier to Install from my experience. The gaming plus is a pretty good board just make sure it covers everything you need port wise, fan headers and features you need wise. Also yes definitely go with cl 16 3600. It with such a large price difference might be best to just grab a non RGB kit of ram or stick with cl 18

So today I got the Tygr 300R and boi, this headphone is A-MA-ZING! The bass is very well done and treble is very pleasant and the spikes are silky smooth! Soundstage is big and the vocals is exactly how I wanted and you don't need to EQ it at all. The comfort is extremely nice and the earpads are pure joy :3

And oh, the earpads doesn't look and feel like the DT880 at all, they are like cushions and very soft too and this type of velour is different to the DT7/8/9, the shape of inner is different too.

The Tygr is a very good allrounder for everything, movies, music, gaming and for all other stuff and you won't miss out any detail.

damn retty good deal on the model too. I was loooking around to preorder the red one seems to be sold out everywhere I look. I think it may be a bit too large for a atx case. was gonna buy one for my livingroom setup.

Beyers have pretty accurate staging and are my personal pick everyday for gaming their fron and back staging I admit is narrower from the sider right and left staging making a weird eggt shaped stage around rather than and even 360. but more mid to entry level sennheisers basically below the 660 have pretty narroe soundstages. [;amars that are good for gaming some music bnut would not be my ick unless you have paired with the right amp would be the he 400i and a really good planar would be the hifiman deva and the sundara but you need a hefty amp for the sundarra to get really good ommph in the bass region.

    lol way over budget
58x is pretty good for gamign , really good for hip hop, rock , most classical music the 58x is a decent all rounder pre4tty decent for gaming narrow ish soundstage but wider than most closed backs just narrow compared to others. 990 is a headphone I would not reccomend for music, very loose bass whne not powered correctly, very sharp treble and the miids are pulled back and can sound thin when paired with a weak or a very linear bright sounding amplifier like a schiit heresy, drop HE 5XX is pretty great very even neutral sound pretty nice if you need want a planar but you would want to drop some money into and map to drive these properly. personally I think the he 400i 2020 is a better buy due to the value of price to performance. or save up on a hifiman sundara which has better treble control as the 5xx to me can be sharp and tinny, and has much better midrange tonality

Oh what I mean to say is you use the do for as a dac for a magni this way instead of saving up for a modi magni stack . You can spend like $10 extra on a cable and a cheap dongle and a magni instead of the original plan of getting a fulla now and a schiit stack later. Cause I will tell you as a owner of both dongles and a 4xx they won't power the 4xx properly and the 4xx does like quite a bit of power to get it's full potential due to the nature of the driver. this way the only thing you will have to save money for  is the modi.

If hissing is an issue from. One board the apple dongle dac or Samsung one is a really cheap good fix as a holdover dac.

I think it would be best if you just spent your cash on the magni now and run that off your motherboard. And get a modi later. But I just saw you seem to behaving issues. You can also get a cheap dac like a apple USB C dongle dac or the Samsung one which sounds slightly better

I don't personally use the MH 751 myself. I've just had a chance to try them. But from the folks I know that use them . So far in seeing the. Last more than year. And the pads still seem to be in good shape so are the headphones as a whole. They've only had them for about a year.

Lots of folks unfortunately hate wires and love the freedom of wireless.which is fair. Unfortunately the only good wireless headset is like $300.

It's one of the least objective parts of a setup. Just like what key switches on akeyboard or what mouse shape to buy headphones should also be taken with careful consideration.

You'r probably better off with gaming headsets a they come with their own 2.4GHz protocolled usb.
Don't use bluetooth adapter to connect Sony WF/WH XM3 or 4 as you'll notice latency delay of 0,2s.

But why do you prefer wireless?
