    FE + block. I'd opt for Heatkiller before EK but that's just me. They'll end up in the same 2100MHz~ realm when overclocked. So not really worth spending god knows how much more the Strix is over the FE. If you want buckets of power to push on cold water then maybe the Strix will help, idk.

    While it would be possible to get the GPU to boot with your iGPU, it comes down the nvidia driver recognising the card. And if the driver doesn't recognise the card then it's basically game over. If your friend wants to play around with a Pascal GPU just get any of the GTX 1080s floating about. Way more support for those cards than the GTX 1070/Ti.

    This isn't possible. Pascal BIOS Tweaker doesn't exist and nobody is making a XOC BIOS for GTX 1070/Ti models.
