firelighter487, Thanks for the quick reply, This is the issue, the ppa's no longer work as of April 16, 2019 so the conventional methods and 99% of tutorials no longer apply. To get java it now requires the java package to be downloaded directly from Oracle, from my research so far there is a fairly involved terminal gymnastics to get is working. Well for me any way. I haven't had any luck with any of the guides so far. Attempting to install ppa's now either fail or give a similar message to the below. ivy@pop-os:~$ sudo add-apt-

Hello LTT Linux master race After a little bit of help please. After Oracle has changed there licensing I'm having no luck installing Java-jdk-8 on a new pop-os install. I'm trying my best to get Minecraft installed on a PC i have built for my daughter but am struggling with the java install now all the java ppa's are empty. If some one could point me at a install guide that is intuitive and actual works, or help me though the install that would be massive. I'd still rather spend 8 hours working this out than turn to windows 10. Little girl will be super sto

Rig at the moment is a 3770K and dual 670's. Solid little rig don't think it needs an upgrade yet. I really like playing with X58, Fermi cards too to be honest.

Lol.. Ok i guess the better question is what would you like to see me build... Im leaning towards x58 and 580sli... The 410 is not too bad a bare chassis for modding. To those who are telling me to build a server or nas your completely right. Ill take some of the low power stuff and build a nice quiet storage server. What i use now is way too noisy.

WHAT SHALL I BUILD??? It turns out i have a bit of gear floating about. The question is what should i do with it? Was thinking nostalgia Steam Box build.. 775 with 560Sli? or X58 Sabertooth with 580Sli Military theme build? What do all think? 1x Asus X58 Sabertooth Motherboard 2x Asus P5K Pro Motherboard 1x EVGA 680i Sli Motherboard 1x Intel I7 960 (Good for 4.2Ghz) 3x Intel E8400 (At least one good for 4.4Ghz) 1x Shity AMD something M-ATX Board single core CPU and DDR400 1x EVGA GTX 670 Reference 2GB Graphics Card 2x Gigabite GTX 560 1GBGraphics Cards (With Water Blocks) 2x EVGA G

Hey Tobben, ages ago you asked about temps. I have battled and battled but haven't found anything that will give me core by core temps on a K10 processor. Apparently im-sensors doesn't support it any more but i did find a way for it to give me an average per cpu. See Link. I threw a snapshot in my gallery. http://linustechtips.com/main/gallery/image/10319-img-20140602-125300-359/
