I'm going to prepare you for the 2 or maybe 3 people you will almost always get when you do IT support,

Number 1: Forgets his password every week/ few days
Number 2: now next to nothing about computers except that it has facebook en he or she can type on it
Number 3: Makes his or her own problems because they are lonely and want someone to talk to.

aaradorn got a reaction from CYBR_GHST in QHD 75hz vs Full HD 144hz?
I'd say 1440 144hz is best. Yes 144 is better then anything below it and you will see and feel the difference. (I can't believe it's still a discussion in 2020). If you can afford 1440p 144hz go for it.

aaradorn got a reaction from porina in I'm not sure if IT is still my thing, how did you know what career you would take?
Thank you for the replies, I decided to continue searching for a IT job, if I can't find anything I will go back to college to become a zookeeper. I feel like working for something you love will always overrule the money you could get. And I would love to work with red panda's, raccoons and other small critters.

My recommendation is to get the same monitor, that way you won't have a color difference and you know what to expect.

Have you tried contacting apple about it? You can always send it to Louis Rossman, I'd trust him with my macbook any day of the week.

Apple does make some great stuff tho, iPads and the base model 2019 macbook pro was still a great laptop. It absolutely destroyed my GF's windows laptop in battery life and and speed, they both have the same specs and same upgrade options. None. That does not mean apple is great but, a lot of other brands have had the same issues, but other brands can bury the broken laptops with different models, something apple can't.

I will always be a windows guy but I can't deny the usefulness of my macbook and iPad. They work great together and the battery life is excellent.

The hardware you mentioned are laptop/other portable device specific parts, designed to be as efficient as possible and use as little power as possible.

You can still game on them but don't expect much.

You can return it and buy something cheap (maybe a 1060) to last you to the fall, and then upgrade to the new generation. Just tell them it draws to much power from your PSU and you can't keep the GPU.
