SpookyCitrus got a reaction from kirashi in PlayStation Account Hacked, Password changed, and Banned
Have you tried submitting an actual support ticket through email or the Playstation website? I wouldn't call them, especially now with the global pandemic and PS5 being sold out.
A friend of mine had a similar experience. He had his account hacked and banned for something I can't remember after not even having access to it for a month or two. He contacted Sony/Playstation and they said there was nothing they could do over a permanent ban, he had to have proof he didn't have access to the account. Even his support ticket from the account originally being hacked wasn't enough(as it wasn't shown that he didn't have access. What?). They didn't even check to see where the account was logged into from when it was banned. I'm sure if they checked that they would be able to tell it was not actually him. From my understanding they don't really like to unban accounts that have been permanently banned especially with this excuse because it's a very common one. They told him that people say that all the time when they get banned. "Someone hacked my account it wasn't me." and they don't undo perm bans unless you have proof of not having access to the account. If support won't do anything and you've exhausted every option trying to get back into the account by resetting the password etc. It honestly might be easier to just take the loss and setup a new account.

If Sony/Playstation can't/won't help, then there is nothing you can do beyond making a new account and starting over.

SpookyCitrus got a reaction from Letgomyleghoe in rampage board going super cheap?
It's an older outdated board, that's why it's cheap, you'd have to buy a compatible CPU. So an LGA 2011 X79 compatible CPU from 2011 or 2012. You can get a modern Intel or AMD board for the same price and not have to find a 10 year old processor. In my opinion, it wouldn't be a good investment. Especially in the world of Ryzen.

SpookyCitrus got a reaction from Khai_ in Userbenchmark.com benchmarking competition
A Userbenchmark competition just isn't fair or fun, it has skewed results(and to be honest a lot of the time(who am I kidding, all the time) is pretty inaccurate), it's been proven numerous times. If this were a 3DMark competition or an in-game benchmark competition I could see it as being fun and more entertaining. A lot of us have been around for awhile in this industry(a lot of people on here even professionally). And most of us that have been, especially those in the IT or Computer Science fields know exactly how UB does their thing.
While I get what you're trying to do if this "friendly" competition is all you want, there are much better benchmarking and testing tools that are more accurate and to be honest just much more entertaining. And just a heads up you seem to be giving UB a lot of high praise for someone who is in no way endorsing or raving about it. Just saying. This whole thing just screams bait post.

Sounds like the motherboard did damage them, could be a VRM or power issue that fried the CPUs. That or you installed/removed the CPUs incorrectly and bent or broke pins.

Unless OP has a Microcenter close by this list will do no good. We tend to not recommend buying parts or putting together a list with Microcenter links because a lot of parts are only available for instore pickup. The CPU in this case is one of them. I would ask OP first if they have a Microcenter near them before recommending or posting a list through them.

OP used the cables from their old PSU with the new PSU to save time and the cables weren't correct(had a different layout), which caused the wrong voltages to be sent to the hardware connected frying them.

SpookyCitrus got a reaction from Aero_db in How to Lose 100TB of Data: A Guide to My $2000 Mistake
That's unfortunate, and is a very common problem. My advice is to always, when swapping a PSU use the cables it came with. Even if you think or know they're the same or compatible cables. Doesn't matter to me, the extra few minutes you save in cable management isn't worth the cost of frying the new unit or components you have hooked to it if they don't work. I see this all the time at my shop it's just as common as the people who think that any Intel or AMD board will work with any Intel or AMD CPU.

SpookyCitrus reacted to Jurrunio in can someone help me out with my ram 32gb problem?
Unless you're running integrated graphics inside the CPU, adding RAM does not affect VRAM because VRAM is soldered to the graphics card. I dont think running integrated graphics with settings that need so much VRAM is realistic anyway

In the bios enable DOCP or XMP whichever it is and then make sure to save and exit the bios, if you don't specifically save it, it will not set to 3200mhz.

Was the 3080 working before? Did you buy it used or new? If the 3080 was in the upper slot when it went dead it's possible whatever happened to break the slot also damaged the 3080. The 3080 should still work in the x4 slot, well enough to get display from it, I wouldn't try to game with it in there. I recommend testing the 3080 in different computer if possible.

AM3 processors are discontinued and no longer manufactured, in order to get one for a good price you'll have to buy used. Check Ebay and your local classifieds, Amazon is pricey because they are brand new. If you are looking for new then you're going to have to pay the higher price tag. Unless someone here lives in your exact area no one is going to be able to help you look, that's up to you.

I saw after posting that you meant GPU drivers. Yes, driver updates would be a must try for OP. Motherboard bios update as well if it has one available and is still having an issue after the graphics driver update. OP needs to make sure they are getting the drivers through the manufacturer webpage for the product as well and not through Windows updates as Windows updates usually gets outdated or even just the wrong drivers.
