Dimondminer11 got a reaction from Herman Mcpootis in Which 150$ power supply is the best here??
They just make the highest quality units out there. At $150 you could probably get a unit from them that will last 10+ years. I bought a rosewill glacier unit and after 3 months of mostly light with some moderate load it popped. They sent me a proton unit as a replacement which is what I'm using right now.

Dimondminer11 reacted to Taf the Ghost in Microsoft finds underwater datacenters are reliable, practical and use energy sustainably
For 2-5 year cycle deployments, this makes sense. They're nitrogen filled, so you get less oxygen exposure issues, along with the biggest cost saver: world's largest water cooler outside the system. I could see the use for these in a lot of places.

The main thing is that Major Cities are always new large bodies of water. In the case of ocean-side cities, it's basically a "Free Real Estate" play because you can just put them right off the coast. I could see MS even doing this in the Bay near Seattle as a next feasibility testing. I suspect these could be very popular in a decade in, say, Tokyo Bay or Singapore.

I mean they are both OLED and I think the ROG phone also has a 10 bit panel. If you really want the uber high refresh rate experience then the ROG phone is fine I suppose. If you want you can even enable 165hz mode via the adb.

Well it doesn't matter now. I managed to find a bog standard PNY GTX 980 TI for $2 cheaper. I have now bought it. I'm pretty excited to have a 1440p med/high @ 60fps GPU now

To be honest i play lots of mobile games. But to be totally honest I feel that the OP 8 Pro is better for what you will be using it for on a day to day basis. It still has a high refresh rate display AND 10 bit color. Mobile SoCs have gotten to the point where they are so ridiculously fast it really doesn't matter. I'm rockin a LG V40 that I bought for $121 several months ago and the Snapdragon 845 in it has impressed me to no end with its performance.

Your memory is either running too fast or the timings are too tight. When you have those sorts of issues the ram is usually acting up. Try going into the bios to set your memory's XMP

ok 1. Boot time is crap because you are using a mechanical hard drive. 2. The computer is running slowly because you have only 1 stick of ram in single channel mode and you only have a quad core cpu that is damn near slower than the one in my laptop.

The 2.2 also has a YUCK mediatek processor. The snapdragon 439 in the redmi 8a is actually not that bad. We've reached the point that even a 400 series snapdragon is fast enough for like 90% of the population.

The redmi 8a looks like the best choice on almost every front except for no always on display support (I do love me AOD). But that shouldn't be a deal breaker for you so go for the 8a. 16GB of storage on the nokia is just NOT ENOUGH in 2020.

We reseated the CPU, made a clicking noise, and now it's on.

Dimondminer11 got a reaction from Newblesse Obblige in Do you really need a good router?
The difference is wifi version support, range, and bandwidth. Our shit free router that came with our internet plan is 8 years old and drops packets like its no tomorrow. If you use ethernet you shouldn't have an issue with a cheapo router but if you like using wifi more expensive = better.
