  1. you can also download WD's ssd health tool to check it out, i have two wd black sn750's and they both get pretty hot once i load them up.
  2. personally id say keep the ATX form factor like you currently have because who knows what you might throw into the computer in the future, you might want to put a capture card in or pcie storage devices. your computer seems solid, if there is one think i would change is the case. i would personally go with a corsair 4000d airflow or a 5000d airflow. Solid case, great radiator and fan support, and great for watercooling if you go down that route in the future
  3. yeah if it works just fine with another gpu you might be SOL. I can't think of any ways to reflash the gpu bios from that computer.
  4. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-75-class-x950h-series-led-4k-uhd-smart-android-tv/6401209.p?skuId=6401209 its last gen but still looks absolutely fantastic. 1999 right now on bestbuy
  5. Can you at least get into your motherboards bios using the gpu as a display output?
  6. https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/ this would be the download page for forge. Id also recommend downloading java 64bit https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp first download and install java then you have to launch the version of MC you're trying to play. lets say 1.17.1 in this example then after you launch it, you can download and install forge.
  7. yeah I've tried all 4 options and it didn't help unfortunately..
  8. In the Nvidia Control panel, under "adjust desktop size and position", for "perform scaling on:" it was originally set on display, but after changing it to gpu and restarting the computer, it still had that issue.
  9. This is a clean install of windows, updated to the latest version, all drivers up to date, monitor on the right is my secondary 1440p and the monitor on the left is the primary 1080p. Anyone have any idea what could be causing the black area to appear? Also why is it that part of my icon is appearing on the second display? Could that be adjusted to align properly? IMG_1604.MOV
  10. Aww rip. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them again but its still at 5 unfortunately. only solution i know would work is an OS reinstall
  11. Something like a corsair rm850x or a seasonic focus gx850 should be plenty of power for the 3070ti and the future ryzen 7 upgrade. 750w would work too but personally id try to spend a bit more and get the 100w upgrade.
  12. Is there a way to get rid of the numbers in front of the device name? I changed my setup around a few times and had to reconnect my devices in multiple ports, but everytime i connect to a new port, it adds another number in front of the device name.
  13. I recently noticed that while moving icons around my desktop, that sometimes the icons don't snap to one edge of the screen as they would elsewhere. Is there a solution to that or a way to adjust the icon snapping grid? 1440p monitor as the left secondary display: 1080p monitor as the right primary display:
  14. Also another thing, whenever I hook up my 1440p 144hz monitor to the intel igpu via DP, the screen starts flickering, but as soon as I drop the refresh rate to 120, it goes back to normal. and it’s not only on Linux but in windows and in the bios too.
  15. So after watching “some ordinary gamers” video on making a Linux machine with a gaming windows vm with a gpu passed through to it, I wanted to give it a shot. I’ve been trying to do the project on my own system using the intel 10700k IGPU for the host system and a 2070 super for the windows VM. I’m having trouble getting the drivers for the nvidia card to work as Manjaro automatically installs intel nvidia hybrid drivers. I was wondering if there’s a way to separate these devices so I could pass through the nvidia card. I’m new to Linux so sorry if this is a dumb question lol.
